Description:

This swap is to make your partner a Goddess Zentangle postcard.

The postcard can be naked or wrapped (in an envie), written on or sent blank for them to use later. Just make sure to send along with it: the swap it's for and your user name.

What's a zentangle, you say? Check out this link and learn more. Then take the ideas gleaned from the above site & turn it into a Goddess themed zentangle. Like this: Goddess1

This is for ORIGINAL work. No copies from the internet (other than inspiration) No printing out a zentangle someone else has drawn & pasting it onto a piece of cardstock. MUST be your own original work.

Your postcard can be traditional size: 3.5 inches x 5 inches (8.9 cm x 12.7 cm)

Or oversized postcard: 6 x 11.5 (15.2cm x 29.2 cm)

But it must be a a minimum of 3.5 x 5

Must be on sturdy cardstock. If it is not, your partner can rate you a 3 for not fulfilling swap requirements. This is not negotiable. Use a sturdy cardstock or cardboard.

So to recap:

  • 1 postcard to 1 partner, Goddess Zentangle theme

  • Either naked or in a envie

  • Make sure your swap name in somewhere on the postcard or slipped into the envie (if you decide to use one)

  • Must be ORIGINAL work, no printing and pasting from the internet. This will also get you a 3. If you think you can't draw a zentangle, well, contact me and we can setup a small swap for true Newbies to the zentangle world.

  • Make sure your postcard fulfills the minimum size requirements

  • Must be on sturdy cardstock or cardboard

  • New members welcome.

  • Non-partner specific- You can start as soon as you sign up!

  • Color or black and white or a little of both, your choice! Have a great time letting your creative juices flow & honor the Goddess with a beautiful zentangle.

Yay, you did it. So cool, I can't wait but watching for now as I've got a bit of a full dashboard. Whoop!

What a gorgeous zentangle!

Gofeen 02/11/2011 #

Does it have to have a face on it or can it be like the one at the top of the swap description? I am very "face challenged" ;>)

glittergothgurl 02/11/2011 #

yay, i'm completely addicted to zentangles!! just a question, how do you make a postcard? do i buy one and then cover the front of it? or just make it from white cardstock and tangle the front and leave the back blank?

oreon 02/11/2011 #

@ Gofeen: No face needed. Whatever you want to do. =D

@GGG That's what I do. I take a blank piece of heavy cardstock in the dimensions of an oversized postcard and zentangle the "front" and use the back for address, etc.

I'm looking forward to this! Just checking one thing: I assume it would be OK to have a card between the small and large sizes you suggest, maybe 4"x6" or so?

oreon 02/22/2011 #

Sure thing. That would be fine!

are we allowed to glue two cardstocks together to make it heavier?

glittergothgurl 03/ 5/2011 #

@JenneLynne that's what I did :)
