Description:

I have had amazing results using ATC mini kits. Normally purchased online, kits have everything you need to make ATC's except the adhesives, paint or ink. I like to start my ATC's with a piece of 2.5 x 3.5 watercolor paper. I love the heft of a sturdy card! No watercolor paper? Be green and use cereal/food boxes, file folders or actual playing cards. We will have 2 partners and will send each a kit with enough materials to make 3 ATC's each. Each of the 2 kits should include, but is not limited to, 3 sturdy 2.3 x 3.5 cards 3 pieces of scrapbook/background papers cut to ATC size. ATC sized images which can include stamped and colored images (or just stamped images), clip art, digital images, transparencies, rub-ons, stickers-whatever YOU would use to make an ATC. Since this swap is not based on the recipient, you can start making your kits as soon as you sign up. Be creative and most of all, have fun! Poorly rated swappers will be banned from the swap. Feel free to check out some examples on my Flickr site attached to my name. The three "almost ATC" set-ups would go into one kit.

Is it just random items or should each kit be a theme to complete 1 card? Sounds like a lot of fun.

Each kit should have enough stuff in it to make 3 ATC's. A theme idea would be wonderful too. You will make up 2 kits -one for each partner.

Jstubs has a great idea...wanna send one of your completed ATC's back to the person who sent you the kit? It is not a mandate, but she is right, it would be neat to see how someone will assemble what you send. Count me in Jstubs!

Ah yeah, I am absolutely in for that idea! Its much more fun that way!!

Kathyy 10/27/2007 #

This sounds like fun and I almost missed it.

Seamaiden 10/28/2007 #

how and when will i get a partner?

trixboth 10/28/2007 #

Wahoo! Partners have now been assigned! Let the art begin! May you all have a delightful time and be inspired when your receive your kits. If you want to, feel free to make the person who sent you your kit, an atc using their materials and send it back. In order to do this, please make sure your return address is on your envelope or included with your kit. ENJOY

The sturdy cards should be 2.5 X 3.5 correct? The description says 2.3, which I assume is a typo.

Just like a back and forth swap! this sounds like so much fun!

My kits for both partners are made and will go in the mail on Monday.

Seamaiden 10/28/2007 #

Yay, this is such fun. Cant wait to get my kits:)

trixboth 10/28/2007 #

You were right about the typo and the size of the cards Kathyy! Standard ATC size. Mine are packed, sealed and go out tomorrow!

Seamaiden, did you ever figure out/get your email about getting your partners? Also, make sure you click the "I sent my items" when you send off your two kits. Let the swappin begin!

Seamaiden 10/29/2007 #

Yeah, I figured it out, and I sent the packets already:)) And marked it. I went to read the FAQ and I think I "got" it all, :)

I sent my kits out today and I enclosed a self addressed stamped enveople hoping they will send one of their creations back to me. I really would like to see what they will put together from that envelope full of stuff. Great crafting & happy swapping!

Crimsoncat05 and alteredart, yours went into the mail today! I hope you like the selection of goodies included - I had lots of fun putting it together!

trixboth 11/ 5/2007 #

Ahh, the hallmark of a great kit...you spill it out and there lies the art. Add glue and some ink around the edges and whalah! An ATC has been born. Thanks for the great kit Zhulia!

I have to add this to my favorite swap list! I would love to do this swap again sometime!
