Description:

You will make one chunky house for your one partner. This is a series of swaps, hosted by either myself or @wolfeagle where we will make one a month..based on a monthly theme. You can participate in every month or just choose the months that you would like to participate.

February's Chunky House theme is: Lover's Lane.

For these swaps, our Chunky Houses have a width of 3-4 inches. The height can vary between 4-8 inches. These little homes should have a sturdy backing so that if someone wanted to bind them together they would stand up. Use any method you would like to make this house. Think of it as a large house shaped ATC. The sky is the limit.

Here are some examples of chunky houses.

MANY HERE

There might even be a few from fellow group swappers!

Please have a filled out profile, and no recent unexplained low ratings. This is an International swap, as mailing a small paper house should not cost that much.

In addition, if you love making the paper chunky houses...you may also be interested in the Wooden House swaps in the Crafty Queens Group.

Is this the first in the series of chunky houses or have there been others? Are you planning to make a certain number or just go one a month till the interest stops? I don't want to start collecting and then only get two or three. Would like to make a book of them.

I love Wolfeagle swaps so know this one will be great!

We will do at least one a month in the group and I believe @Mrsdutton has some country themed ones that she hosts also. This is the 2nd in our series. At some point we can do a make-up swap for those who have missed a month. Hope to have you in these.

Since this is the Crafty Recyclers group, is there some requirement for recycled/reused/repurposed content?

wolfeagle 01/31/2011 #

Actually, all of the swaps in this group are designed to incorporate reducing, re-using and/or recycling. Like in this series, at the very least, the base should be a semi hard surface, like a recycled cereal box, other food packaging or card board, etc. Of course, many will choose to add many recycled pieces to their houses. So please, re-use things....it does our planet good. :)
