Description:

1 card for each of 3 partners (3 in total) Since its so easy to make an extra print once you've got everything inked up I've made this for three partners.

Theme is Valentine's Day cards of course!

This should be printed on cardstock. I'm not going to require a particular size but in general a 5.5 x 4.25 is a pretty common size You can either buy envelopes or make your own.

You're choice of inks. If you haven't tried akua kolor ink it's a great alternative to speedball's crappy waterbased ink. No need to seal akua kolor as it's permanent once dry. I have the akua intaglio which works well both for intaglio prints and relief prints. ordering info below

Relief, Intaglio, Sceenprinting/Gocco, Pochoir (with your own handmade stencil no prefab!), Monotype/Monoprint, collograph, Lithography, letterpress printing: Artist's (sender's) choice of method for this project, all creations must be handmade/designed.

Rating of 4.9+, no unexplained 3s or 1s Providing links to your work is encouraged! I will be checking profiles before the swap begins.

Sorry, no rubber stamps, prefab stamps or stencils (unless you made your own) please! All blocks, stamps, images, or plates must be handcarved/etched/serigraphed & designed by each participating artist.

Obviously you need to print in at least one color. If you'd like you can print multiple colors, or add in some color by hand. Another fun way to add color is by printing on marbled paper.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Resources: Here's some good places to get both cardstock and envelopes. http://www.envelopemall.com/ http://www.kellypaper.com/store-locator may be good if you're on the west coast (they often have a good sale section up front.) paper source sale section has some options though pricey in general: http://search.paper-source.com/index/_/N-lfm0/Ne-lflz/No-0 http://www.clearbags.com/ is another option though they have a minimum order of 40 or they charge a fee. California Paper Goods has recently gone through a big change so... it looks like they do more bulk sales now bummer http://www.CApaper.com/ Hiromi paper has great japanese papers as well as others http://store.hiromipaper.com/gift.aspx

Ink options:

McClaine's is a great resource for all kinds of printmaking supplies and tools They have a good write up about all their ink options too: http://www.imcclains.com/catalog/ink/Caligointro.html

http://www.waterbasedinks.com/ http://www.takachpress.com/access/akuaink.htm They also have pens which are great for monoprints

akua kolor from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nbsbnoss?url=search-alias%3Doffice-products&field-keywords=akua&x=0&y=0

I will soon be offering "Ink in Tubes" which is suitable for letterpress, relief, and I've even used it for intaglio printing. Let me know if you're interested!
