Description:

Hi everyone, welcome to the Re-use/Recycle/Re-purpose ATC swap.

For this swap, we will take something that would otherwise be discarded and turn it into beautiful ATC. You will make three (3) ATCs – one (1) for each partner.

I encourage you to think outside the box – use old cards, receipts, magazines/catalogues, postage stamps, bottle caps or anything else you can get your hands on around the house or workplace.

Rules are:-

  • You will make three (3) ATCs – one (1) for each partner.

  • Something on each card must be re-purposed (ie. Used for something other than that for which it was originally intended). It may be one element, or the whole card may come from re-using different things.

  • Recycle/re-use/re-purpose does not mean make something out of dirty rubbish. It means to take something in reasonably good condition that would otherwise be discarded and turn it into something new and exciting.

  • Rating of 4.8 or higher, no recent 1’s. Newbies with a filled out profile and minimum 5 snail mail swaps are more than welcome. I will check profiles before assigning partners, and ban users that do not meet requirements. If you don’t meet the requirements, please contact me if you wish to join.

  • Name, date, title and swap to be on back of card (other contact details are optional). This helps your partner to rate you once they receive your card.

  • It is not necessary to match to your partners profile for this swap, however you may wish to do so.

  • It would be nice if you put a note in with your ATC to tell your partner which part has been re-purposed and perhaps a story behind it.

For those of you that don’t know what an ATC is:-

An ATC is a miniature work of art that measures 2.5 by 3.5 inches. It can be created from any medium, as long as it is reasonably sturdy. All art techniques are welcome – whether it be drawing, collage, sewing etc. They are a great way to try out new techniques or use up random scraps from other projects. Because of their size, they don’t take forever to make and are easy to post to swappers around the world.

Now, get creative and have fun ♥
