True Ghost Stories Email Swap

I love Halloween because it's a time to celebrate any and everything spooky! I simply can't get enough of the ghost stories, haunted houses, paranormal TV shows and horror movies that thrive this time of year.

As a ghost nerd, I love a good, creepy story, and it seems that everyone has had a strange experience or knows someone who has. This swap is about sharing those other worldly experiences.

The rules are simple:

*You will share your TRUE paranormal experience with three partners via email. If you haven't experienced anything strange, you may tell the story of someone you know. You may also share creepy stories specific to your hometown, such as haunted houses, restaurants, hotels, etc., but be careful not to rehash urban legends.

*You will put some thought into sharing your story and will write AT LEAST 100 words. Obviously, the longer the better. The minimum is one, 100 word story, but you may share more than one story as long as they are at least 100 words apeice.

*Please, please, please do not submit a story riddled with spelling errors, terrible grammar, improper punctuation, etc. Sorry to sound like an English teacher, but please put some effort into your story.

*DO NOT rehash a well-known urban legend. There should not be any stories about a babysitter receiving phone calls from an intruder upstairs, a man with a hook terrorizing couples in a car or a hitch hiker who turns out to be dead. True, original accounts please!

As this is an email swap, it is obviously international, but English only please. Newbies welcome.

The deadline is on Halloween, but stories may be submitted anytime before that. Have fun!
