Every knitter has a favorite pattern that they have knitted. It could be a pair of socks, a felted bag, or a lace wrap. The idea of this swap is to send you partner your favorite pattern and enough yarn to make the project! The pattern can be original or printed off the internet. Just be sure that it is readable. There is no cost to this swap ... yarn for a pair of socks could cost more then a simple felted bag. Just be kind, creative, and most of all ... HAVE FUN! PLEASE post your color likes/dislikes as well as material likes/dislikes (acrylic or no) in the comments section. Thank you. Everyone will have ONE partner in this swap. It is an international swap. If you have a rating lower then 3 ... you will not be allowed to participate in this swap. It's nothing personal - I just want to make sure that everyone gives as well as gets something. Remember that we all love to get something from our swap, so make sure you send to your partners!

Watch out for the copyright police. Photocopying patterns from books or magazines to swap is illegal. It would need to be the original. Print outs from the web are fine as long as either you own the original or it is public access like Knitty.com.

Will there be a small questionnaire? I would hate to send someone a yarn color or type they wouldn't like. Although I already have my two favorite patterns on standby.

I love all colors in a more muted tone. I knit everything from socks (a great love) to lace shawls (and all inbetween). 2005 was a hat year for me, 2006 socks, 2007 who knows:) Wool blends are my favorite yarns. I don't like the feel of 100% acrylic. I love to discover other people's favorites!

Hi,

I like natural fibres like wool, alpaca and silk. I also like blends. My favourite colors are all kinds and shades of red, pink and purple. And I would like to discover new colors like whites, greys and browns that fit my favourite colors. I hope to get some new inspirations in the swap. At the moment I love to knit accessoires for fall and winter like hats, gloves and shawls. I don't knit socks.
