Description:

Get an Empty TP Tube (the center tube the paper is wrapped around). Cut two circles of cardboard or cardstock to cover the ends. Cover & tape one end closed. Now stuff the tube with goodies. Checking your partners profile is great, but not required. . Be sure to include a tiny note or business card that has the swap name and your username on it so they know where it came from. Include only things you would like to receive, no trash! Ideas for goodies… Small hard candies or gum Small sewing notions (seam rippers, buttons, thread, etc.) Scrapbook paper and/or stickers can be rolled to fit in the tube Glue stick or Glue dots Brads, eyelets, ribbon & other small embellishments Small paper punches or stamps Mini markers, pencils, pens, postage stamps, bookmarks or other stationary items Jewelry or jewelry making supplies Recipes (food or craft related) Single serve drink mixes (kind you add to bottled water), Single serve hot chocolate or coffee Tea bags Key chains Tealite candles Something handmade The possibilities are endless! Be creative, challenge yourself & have a blast!

Now seal up the other end of the tube. Decorate & address the outside. I have found it easier to decorate after it is full, it holds its shape better. You will have one week to send to your partner after they are assigned.

This is an International Swap, so be aware of shipping costs.

You need to have a 4.9 or above rating, at least 3 rated postal swaps and no unexplained ones or threes in the past 6 months. If you are new, please have a full profile & PM me before joining. Any questions you can PM me.

Happy Swapping, nlgrudis

Just a word of advice--post offices in the US are currently not accepting the tp role as a form of mail container at this time in many areas.

Same goes for Canada Post! They will not all you to mail a toilet paper roll!!

Can we put the TP roll in a small box? Then mail it?

Thanks swappers. If your post office doesn't accept it I see no reason why you can't slip it into a small padded envelope, box or anything they will accept. I have had no issues with the ones I covered with scrapbook paper. Where the one I tried to send that was plain, accept some stickers, was refused at the same post office with the same worker!

I love the idea of this, and I'm pretty sure I would get away with sending a toilet roll tube out of the UK... but the timing's not great for me. Let me know if you run this again in the new year though, I'll definitely join then :)

@pootle I normally do this every month. So join us in 2011!
