So, are these printed on Photo paper? and then mounted on cardstock? They look so neat!

Ohmy - I would suggest photo paper - gloss or matte... I think the photos look so much better that way. The detail just pops! susi

Wow, I'd never heard of these but I just tried searching on Flickr and there are thousands of them...

I have a couple of questions: Should they have the photographer's name etc on the back, like an ATC does?

If I receive moos or other inchies from a swap-partner, would I be allowed to use them as elements in collages or multi-media ATCs I make? (perhaps if I gave the original photographer credit, in the description?) Or would that be morally wrong?

I've got the same question you do. They are lovely, and just scream use me. I'd assume anything sent would be okay to use, but that maybe a bad assumption.

Kessie and Sew Fun - those are very good questions! Honestly, I really never planned to use them in my art, just as I wouldn't use swapped ATCs, postcards or photos. I have a large binder that I store all of my swaps except when its emphemera, etc. What I have done with mine are mount them and frame them. (I keep them up for a little while then change them out with my next big thing. LOL) I say: join send receive and enjoy! susi

Aww, ok. I guess I was thinking of them like the 'embellishments' you can buy from craft shops rather than finished works of art.

I think some people do incorporate them into larger works of art - e.g. Twobluecrows said "I use mine as embellishments on ATCs, or pages in an altered book. I treat them like little jewels to accent something larger." But I don't know if she was referring to ones she made herself, or ones by another artist that she'd received in a swap.

Do you mean, use the royalty-free photos to make these 'inchies/'? Personally, I think, as it's a photography swap, you should try and take your own photos. If you haven't got a camera you could just get a cheap disposeable one...

Moo cards were popularised by a European company called Moo. http://www.moo.com/ Their size is 28 mm by 70 mm which works out to be 1-1/8 inches by 2-3/4 inches.

Anyone who is the partner I send to can use these however you want to. I can see them in glass slides as embellishments or any other way. I believe in sending my art into the world and since I am not trying to profit from it in any way, it is free to use. I do understand that not everyone agrees with me on this and do not use others work unless I know that they do not object.
