Advent Calendar in a Box

This is the swap you've been waiting for! It is an Advent Calendar Swap - minus the calendar. Send 25 small treats to count down the days til Christmas.

You may package your treats however you'd like: envies, matchboxes, bags, etc. or even mix it up. Please number the items 1-25.

There is no spending limit for this swap, only a size requirement.
Your treats must all fit into a small flat rate box. Since the treats will be opened one a day over 25 days, package them prettily - we'll be looking at them all month wondering what the next day's treat will be!

This swap IS profile specific - read your partner's profile carefully. Full profiles with lots of details are required. This will help your partner send you an awesome advent "calendar."

To participate in this swap ...
1. You must have 30 various Type 3 crafty swaps. Various means some handcrafts, some matchboxes, some profile match swaps.
2. You must post 3 advent treat ideas in the comments section below. Pictures, instructions, web site addy and tute links are much appreciated.

One more thing: I love Christmas! And I love swapping!
YOU might love this swap, but be aware that this project will require some time to complete. If the holiday season often overwhelms you, please consider sitting this one out.

More Rules:
3. Send on time.
4. Rate your partner.
5. Don't flake.

These swaps are hard because there is inevitably someone who joins and gets banned. If there is anything amiss about your ratings/profile, PM me in advance. Thank you.

Merry Christmas to all and Happy Swapping!!!!

Is the box size a minimum or maximum? The way it's posted it seems to be a required size...but are larger boxes okay for your swap?

LadyStephanie 10/23/2010 #

@lilkey thanks for asking about the box size.

This may seem like a strange rule, but this time around, using a small flat rate box is a swap requirement. You can fit an aweful lot into those little boxes!!!

The rule about sharing 3 advent treat ideas is to get your creative juices flowing. By no means do you have to use the suggestions listed here.

If you don't think you can come up with 25 different treats, no worries. A few of them can be similar (like different flavor teas on different days), but try to make each treat special somehow.

As for what might fit into the box...here's what I can come up with off the top of my head: tea/cocoa/cider, matchboxes, puzzles, postcards, hang tags, mini envie & card, bookmark, jewelry, hair accessory, lip balm, pen/pencil, stickers, felt stuffy, amigurumi, fridgie, swap cards, addy labels, button pins, candy, charms, socks, a specialty tool, music CD, inspirational story/message, mini soaps, tealight or tart candle, zine, ornament, coasters, recipe cards w/ one of your own recipes, pretty printed poetry art, crochet/knit dishcloth, small journal, letter set....and that's just the tip of the iceburg!

*1) Small Rubber Stamp *2) Selection of Ribbons *3) silly photograph of the sender *4) scarf *5) smashed penny/other unique coins *6) miniature animals *7) Gift certificate card *8) ATC *9) Inchies *10) magic washcloth/socks/towels *11) post-it note *12) small cross stitchin kit *13) necklace *14) Ring

Of course homemade of the above would be cool too!
