Secret Keepers

Do you love sharing and keeping all sorts of secrets? Dark & juicy, light & silly, or even the seemingly mundane? I sure do!

Here's your opportunity, inspired by the excellent PostSecret blog and the subsequent book. You can also view more examples on flickr.

Each person will send a handmade/decorated postcard to 3 partners. You may send 3 cards with the same secret or each with a different secret. If you feel extra secretive and want to hide from the prying eyes of postal workers and household members, you may mail your postcard inside of an envelope but note that this requires more postage.

The front side of each postcard will have:

1. Text of a secret

2. Corresponding graphic(s)

Backside will have:

1. Your partner's mailing address

2. Your swap-bot member name - I realize this makes it less "secret" but we still need a way to provide ratings

3. OPTIONAL - Permission for the recipient to share your secret and guidelines under which s/he may do so

This is an INTERNATIONAL swap since it's not incredibly expensive to send a postcard abroad.

Ratings should be given based on the creativity and effort that went into creating the card, NOT your judgement of the secret itself.

All those with secrets (including Newbies) are welcome to sign up, except those with recent No-Sends. I do believe in second chances and postal service blackholes, but I will ban anyone that seems like a repeat/unreformed offender.

PLEASE SIGN UP ONLY IF YOU CROSS-YOUR-HEART-AND-HOPE-TO-DIE SWEAR THAT YOU WILL CARRY YOUR PARTNERS' SECRETS TO THE GRAVE (unless they give you permission to share of course!)
