@pichuey Hosts have one week after the last day to sign up to review profiles, ban anyone, and then have the swap-bot computer randomly assign partners. Usually, it happens within the first few days, but a host can take the full week. Welcome to swap-bot.

On this other swap it says we're allowed to include dead cats. Are we allowed to include dead cats in this one? I need to know right away.

Might join this swap once I've sent another one away as I'm a newbie and am only allowed to sign up for 5. Are we allowed to somehow pad the envelope so nothing gets damaged inside?

broadway90 - you'll get an email when the deadline passes and I've assigned partners. Should come 10/14. pippelotje- PM me for private swap. I can probably "dig up" a dead mole from my yard... ;) HA! happymilk- not only can you pad, it is encouraged! Many of us use padded shipping envelopes with 10 tons of tape after we've had our packages destroyed.

@happymilk ..I suggest keeping a pair of scissor and a knife in place where you sort the mail...I found myself opening a ton of mail in the kitchen till I did this...as some swapbotters use an excess of padding and tape and it is much appreciated!

I would really like to do this! I have tons of loose crafty bits that I could do with clearing out and getting some new stuff instead. I have a couple of 1 ratings from last year because I had to flake on a 5-person swap due to some personal problems (a death in the family) but I really want to get swapping again and I am busy making it up to those people. Hopefully you can see from my other ratings that I am an otherwise good swapper!

Yes, I'm okay. Just in the process of moving across the country. Packing and going through every item in the house is a nightmare but I'm really excited for the move. I knew I wouldn't have the time I would need to devote to this swap, so I asked Terrie to host them. And she graciously agreed. I love this swap and look forward to being in it.

@paperfairys Last International or last USA? And just so you know for future reference, a host can not do anything if she doesn't know... :) If flaked on, I recommend that you contact your partner by email and PM. If still no sucess, then rate a 1 to the flaker. If the host has agreed to help find angels, then you should let them know after you leave your 1 so they can help you. I hope you get a great envelope this time.

I did SO BAD on my last swap like this, I was still new and totally did not do a good job. So I will sign up for this one and hopefully redeem myself :-)

Is there a dollar limit minimum everyone should consider before mailing to their partners?

viv1972- the idea is not to spend any $$ but to pass along things you already have. I have rec'd envelopes from the required business size to boxes. It is up to you what you send but as long as you send the minimum that is enough for a good rating.

Didn't recieve anything last time i joined one of these was giving it another try ... nothing yet :/

Really depoends on the partner and the swap. For instance, if they have deleted their account or have been suspended, etc, you do not need to wait as long. In general,if they have marked sent- I would give it at least 2 weeks, and up to 3-4 weeks for International swaps, unless you and your partner are in the same area.
I recommend Pm'ing and emailing your partner to see if they can check on the package. Hope it gets there today.

still nothing ... im going to wait till 1st december that will be a month then im leaving a negative as im sick and tired of spending time and money and getting nothing back :(

so, what do you want me to do about the person that did NOT send me anything. This is the second time that I have been flaked on, what gives?

I have not received anything yet either. What do I do? Report it somewhere? Is there a way to find out who was supposed to send me something or is it the same person I sent a package to?

I have been flaked on also. So irritating. Please, rate the flakers accordingly, so hosts and other swappers can be aware.

This is the second swap like this that I have been flaked on. I love to do them but I think twice burned is enough. If the people who sign up can't follow through then they shouldn't sign up in the first place. The first one should not have been aloud to sign up as she didn't have a complete profile. I don't know what happened with this one, maybe she has a good excuse, I wouldn't know!
