Operation Beautiful

first off, thank you @hollycm for suggesting this idea as a swap! Hope to see you join :D

This swap is based on the Operation Beautiful website. The woman who started this started blogging about the importance of loving yourself, of not judging others, not judging yourself and spreading that love and acceptance! The way this message is spread is by Post It notes or something similar. Just little Post It notes with an encouraging message to brighten a stranger's day! I myself have left 5 of these notes out in the world JUST TODAY!

For this swap, you will buy a Post It pad. They are small, fairly cheap. They usually have about 90 papers per pad. They come in awesome colors! On each page, write an encouraging message and the link : operationbeautiful.com on it. The messages can be as simple as SMILE! or quotes you like that pertain to love, self respect, beauty. I have even made up some cute little poemsfor some of mine!

After you have all your messages written, you will then distribute them in public places! Resturants, bathrooms at resturants, gas stations, grocery stores, at work, on random cars! Anywhere you think someone will see it but at the same time, not too obvious! This is a serendipity type of thing really. Those who see are meant to see it!

While you are placing these notes everywhere, you will take at least 10 pictures of your notes that you have placed. Try taking pictures of the ones you are proudest of! You will then email those pictures to your partners ( and hopefully the site itself!)

With the email pictures, include something to make your partners smile! Something to personalize this swap a little. Do you see they have updated their profile that they are not feeling good? Send them an e-card! See that they are trying to lose weight? Send them some tasty healthy recipes! See that they love music? Recommend some good songs and send YouTube links. This means you will have to look through their profile and really read it!

So...Buy a Post It pad. Write messages! Get messages out! Take pictures! Read profiles! Email pictures! Email partner e-swap! Recieve! Rate! Continue even after this swap is over!

I DO realize I made this a Type 3 swap. I did this because it is labor intensive in that you are going places to put messages out! It is not necc. TIME intensive but more labor intensive. It is not like you can just stick notes all over anywhere. It has to be right!

I would REALLLY love to check the Operation Beautiful site one day and see one of our notes on there, one of mine! I usually post mine anonymously and hope to see the pictures on there when someone finds it!

Maybe we could even mark our notes somehow, with a tiny SB on it somewhere so we know when they have been posted!
