Description:

For this swap, we'll be sending 10 pieces of word art.
So the first question is: What is Word Art?

Word art is a piece of art, in the shape of a word. Easy, right?

For the lettering, think bubble letters, dot letters, block letters, curly girly letters...calligraphy, doodles, zentangles, something fun, something inspiring. After all, we want to enjoy sending and receiving!

Use gel pens/paint, sequins/gems, fabric/embroidery ... whatever floats your boat. Each word should be mounted/created separately, on a sturdy background. By sturdy, I mean heavy cardstock or upcycled food boxes. As for size, let's keep our decorated words between 4"-8". My thought is that we can hopefully use the word art we receive in a journal, on a card, as mail art or on some future swap project.

Hmm, what words to choose? Decisions, decisions... Well, one of the swap requirements is that one of your pieces of word art has to be your partner's first name. Make it special!

Swaps Requirements:
1. Send 10 pieces of word art.
2. One must be your partner's first name.
3. Words need to be on sturdy background.
4. Make them 4"-8" long.

Additionally:
5. Please send on time.
6. Please rate promptly.

I know alot of people like to send extra with their swaps. That is not needed at all with this swap. Our envies will already be stuffed with our 10 pieces of mail art. Concentrate on quality vs. quanity.

Happy Swapping!!!

This is a lovely swap !

Is word art a word that you have created, put onto hard card ? Do we need to cut around the word or leave it on a rectangular piece of card ?

Good questions! Make your art on a sturdy piece of cardstock. And the cutting around the word vs. rectangle is up to you.
