Ye Olde Faire in Camelot #6: Lapidary/Goldsmith

The faire is coming to town! Come one, come all but don't ignore the call!

Note: Please read over this swap carefully, it's not complicated I just like to explain everything with as much detail as I can, but make sure you read all the criteria before signing up.

This is the sixth in what will be a series of swaps based on the old traveling faires. Whether gypsies, a troupe of entertainers or players, whatever names they were called by, they would set up tents just on the outskirts of town and sell their wares, read fortunes, play instruments, and entertain! They would also sell things for the children, potions to cure aliments, weapons, jewelry and so much more. Just a simple faire but something new and exciting nonetheless!

Your head still spinning from your magnificent audition and the news that the troupe will be leaving in a fortnight taking you along as their newest member, has you in a clamor! You must bring something along for luck on this thrilling journey and a token to mark this new chapter in your young life is befitting as well!

Just a few tents over you spy the perfect pairing! The lapidary's tent and the goldsmith's. Very often they will work together each lending to the others talents. So off you go ready to buy a stone or two for luck and a new piece of jewelry to mark this most auspicious day!

This will be a fun swap! You will be sending your partner a small pouch filled with at least 3 stones from the lapidary's tent and a small piece of jewelry from the goldsmith's.

The first part, the stones are simple enough, you can buy or hand make a little pouch for them, read over your partner's profile if you wish to see if they have any preferences, but it is not required, just a nice thought. Send any manner of 3 stones, be it hematite, agate, tiger's eye, moonstone, bloodstone, etc, you get the idea, approximately the size of an American quarter at least.

If you wanted, you could also send a crystal or two in the mix, but that is up to the sender and not required as sometimes they can be expensive, but if you already have some and feel like sending them along, I am sure it would be appreciated.

For the next part you may purchase or hand make whichever is easier for you, something in a natural or more of an old style of jewelry. For example, maybe a brooch, necklace, ring, earrings or bracelet (to keep your jewelry gift a surprise I ask that all who sign up please leave your ring sizes, preferred necklace length, bracelet length and whether or not your ears are pierced, that way when partners are assigned we already have the information). This does not have to be an expensive item I would say around $10-$12 if bought if made make it around the same value. If you wish you may include this item in a box or pouch as well. At the very least make sure it is wrapped or padded to ensure a safe arrival through the post.

This is a group swap so everyone should be trustworthy and should have the minimum rating of 4.9, which is the group requirement. I will say this now - if you flake on a group swap you will be dropped from the group. Also, if you are going to be late even by a day please pm your partner to let them know it's just common courtesy...I understand life happens!

I will allow plenty of time to research/craft/complete as I know life can be a bit hectic.
