I was brainstorming at my table covered with paper, stamps, ephemera, and tools the other day and thinking "Boy, it would be cool to make a series of ATCs that are related!" So here I am with this swap, hoping you think that would be cool too! My thought is that the 3 ATCs you make for your 1 partner should somehow go together--thematically, color-wise--however you come up with to make them related. You could use the same paper on all of them; the same stamp; start with a panoramic view of something and scope in closer with each card; explore the same theme from 3 different angles--I think the possibilities for creativity (and fun) are huge! :) Feel free to wait until partners are assigned to cruise your partner's profile for ideas, or just develop your own fabulous idea! If any of this is unclear, please feel free to throw in any questions in the comments or in a message to me personally! Please have a filled out profile and a rating of at least a 4.5. I hope it goes without saying that we all expect people to make something they themselves would like to receive!

I've done this before. When you do three it is called a triptych. It is an old art form to do an art piece in three parts, often in the form of a shrine but doesn't have to be anymore.

You might want to consider that many, myself included, will not join a swap with such a low rating, especially since you do not exclude swappers with recent 1s or 3s.

I don't necessarily intend for it to be a triptych, while that is an option. I didn't specify that it should be one art work split into three portions (which is what a triptych specifically is). These are three related ATCs, and can be related in a number of ways, as specified in the description.

And, as has always been the case with every swap ever posted on Swap-bot, you don't have to join if you don't like the specifications.

A triptych isn't always art in three portions. Historically, the ones I've seen are just three wooden panels of pieces of art side by side that make up a whole when viewed together but each can also stand alone.

Triptych - A work of art consisting of three physically separate pieces of photography, drawings, paintings, vector art or sculptures (or a combination of these) that are related visually, intellectually or morally. The three pieces are usually arranged either in a horizontal or vertical manner, with each piece juxtaposed. The concept of the triptych has developed over two thousand years, since its early depiction of religious motifs in many cultures.
