Lets Stuff a Jar or container full of Dotee making stuffs for your partner! I saw this on flickr and I think it was done a couple yrs back, if it's your idea please let me know so I can credit you! The object is to take an 8 - 12 ounce jar (or similar sized container) and fill it with supplies to make dotees. Ideas include ~ fabric pieces (big enough for at least one doll), beads, yarn, faces, ribbons, buttons, embroidery floss, handsewing needles, thread, etc. Obviously make this something you would love to receive yourself. I'm making this international cause it shouldn't be too heavy, esp if you get creative with the container (maybe a paper mache box?) and that way everyone can play :) Standard group rules apply, please don't flake, but if it should happen to you I will find or be an Angel. Any ??'s please pm me.

can some plase give me an better idea of what an 8 - 12 ounce jar is. maybe how tall or round it is. thanks

bot the size of a reg jar of peanut butter, I'm not at home but I think maybe 5 in high by 3 wide?

Usually a mason canning jar is the jar people would use for this swap. They come in a few different sizes at craft stores and the tops are two pieces so I find that easier to make a pincushion top.

A jar would take more to mail and it would have to be boxed to keep it from breaking. Can i use a box with lid? I've never done this before

being in aus i am having a bit of a problem with the size of the jar. can anyone please explain in cm's or grams? thanks

i once recieved a dottee whimsey jar in a baby food jar? is this about right or what about a empty toilet tube holder?

I found a coverions on the internet and found that 12oz is about 340gs. 10oz is 300mls

who ever is my partner i just want to say that i don't use fabric when making dotee i use felt so if you could please not add no much frabic in the whimsey jar i would be greatful :)
