Location:International
Type:Type 3: Package or craft
Last day to signup/drop:September 16, 2010
Date items must be sent by:September 30, 2010
Number of swap partners:2
Description:

Do you love ATCs?

Do you love fabric, sewing and embellishments? (Must be able to sew by hand or machine.)

Then this is the swap for you!

1) Make 1 fabric ATC to send to each partner (a total of 2 ATCs).

2) Fabric ATCs are 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches, include a piece of fabric, one sided fusible batting, and a cardstock backing. You may also use a stiff fusible, a fabric backing and write on it with permanent fabric marker.

3) Fabric ATCs are hand or machine sewn (patchwork, appliqué, thread painting, embroidery, beadwork, buttons, charms, ... embellish them to your heart’s content or not).

4) Be sure to write the following on the back, the name and number of the ATC, date made, artist name and location (e.g. Cat #1, May 2010, Sassy Susie, Stanton, South Dakota).

5) This MONTHLY SWAP is the sender’s choice, NO THEMES, but looking at your partners’ profiles to see what they have a passion for is advised. Enjoy letting your creative juices flow!

6) Be sure to include a note with the name of this swap and your Swap-bot ID.

Participant Screening:

Must be able to sew by hand or machine.

Must have a fully completed profile (not just a few lines).

Must have completed 5 swaps, have a 4.8+ status and no unexplained 1 or 3’s.

I will list all flakes and will angel, but I trust that won’t be necessary.

Ratings:

We’d all like to do a swapper’s dance of joy when we open our envies/packages, but remember ratings are based on meeting the swap's requirements. Surpassing the swap requirements is a sign of generous swappers who take pride in their creativity by creating high quality work or might even enclose an extra ATC and/or a small surprise. Pretty packing and postal presentation is also enjoyable. Be sure to rate your partner as soon as you receive the swap. Happy Swapping!

Welecome to September's Swap! I can't wait to see what you come up with. Smiles and Hugs from Canada.

August's Thanks: Well, gals August was another great round of fabric ATC swapping. Everyone got out their ATCs, and only a couple ran a wee bit late, but I know those who ran late told their partners and if not their partners checked the view participants button to see if they were sent. Thanks again for participating in and enjoying our Fabric ATC #4 swap. Keep making those beautiful Fabric works of art. I look forward to our September swap.

Cheers, Le Papillon Vert

That is a lovely ATC photo!

I was just thinking today, I have lots of Asian papers, stamps and stickers but I'd love some swatches of Asian fabric to make ATC's. i even have the greatest template to use with this fabric. At this time I do not have fabric that I can think of, not like I can't go buy some.(LOL!) So I may join this swap yet! If there are any Canadian pals that have a few swatches to spare (3X5") I'd love to swap anything from my huge collection of arty stuff! Please let me know and may be somewhere I will find some fabric to do a few ATC's with!! Happy Swapping!!
