For this swap you will have one partner and you will alter the outside of a journal book for them to use.
Minimum book size is A5. Books should be hard-cover with a spine or spiral bound. Please use a new, full book not one you have torn pages out of. You are to decorate the journal and personalise it for your partner. You may alter the front and back covers (inside and out) only. All other pages should be left blank. (We may do an inspiration-journal in another swap). Yes I said you can decorate inside the front and back covers - just not the pages. You may specify if you would like your pages to be ruled lines or plain white paper. You should try to find a book to alter that meets your partner's preference. Please state your preference in the comments below, even if your preference is that either is fine.

- Fancy papers - washi, origami, embossed
- Vellum Quotes
- Beads
- Ephemera
- Bling (rhinestones)
- Images from children's books
- Feathers
- Images from magazine
- Your own artwork (drawing, painting, collage, etc)
- Anything else that I've missed that's hiding in your stash
Please limit 3D elements on the back cover so the journal will sit flat when writing in it. We need to keep it as a functional journal. :)
Serious Stuff:
- To join this swap you must have enough info on your profile to guide your partner. Useful information may be colours, themes, animals, flowers or trees, your favourite sporting team, favourite patterns and styles that you like.
- You may request a book made from recycled materials but I know these are more difficult to find in some areas.
- Please create something of a quality that you would be very happy to receive. Putting a few stickers on a book is not what we're about. We are trying to create something beautiful and functional that will last. Make sure things attached to your work are held with strong adhesive. (Something more than a glue-stick).
- This is a parcel swap which may have to be sent internationally. Please take this into account before joining this swap.
- I will check profiles before I assign partners
- I will angel if I have to... But if I do have to that person will be removed from the group.
