Last day to signup/drop:August 16, 2010
Date items must be sent by:October 1, 2010
Number of swap partners:1
Description:

Fill a package with 13 small, wrapped gifts (handmade is preferred although store bought or a mix of both is fine). Your partner will open a gift (starting October 19) a day leading up to Halloween! You can number the gifts 1 through 13, or leave it a random luck of the draw, but please make sure the gift to be opened on Halloween is special and identified as "Halloween day."

$15-$20 on the entire swap would be fair although you could make most of the items and save money. Usually with a swap like this I try to spend $1-$2 on the days leading up to the big day then $5 on the last day but some days you might spend more than that and some days less but to average it out $15-$20 seems fair.

As for food items I think that a mix of food treats and non food would be perfectly fine. I usually look at my partners profile for an idea of what candys they like. On a swap like this I might do 1/3 candy and food treats and 2/3 non food items. I usually try to send a mix of items so that hopefully if they don't care for one or two items they still get a ton of things they like.

Ideas for your package Halloween decorations, halloween jewelry, Halloween craft items (beads, buttons, paper punches, rubber stamps, stickers, etc...) socks, gloves, leg warmers, wrist warmers, Nightmare Before Xmas Items, Pin back buttons, scrapbook stuff, Martha Stewart Halloween items, black orange or purple candles, ribbons, candy treats, stationary, cookie cutters, bento items that fit the theme, books (used books that fit the theme are a wonderful gift!) books on true ghost stories from your area.

Because this is a big effort swap, I have to set some big rules:

You must have been rated in 20 swaps. No history of no sends. A rating above 4.8, and have a complete profile. You must also have signed into swap bot within a week of the last day to sign up.. I am sorry to have to be so picky but I would really love everyone to get a package for it!

This swap is international :)

Does every gift have to be Halloween related or can there be a mixture?

All thirteen gifts have to have a halloween theme but the theme could be as easy as items that are orange or black or you could include items that have a crow, black cat, crow, pumpkin, skull, monster movie, cute monster, witch, ghost.

The items do not have to be made specifically for Halloween but have to have a Halloween feel to them.

Great places to shop for inexpensive Halloween items are the dollar store, craft stores, target and drug stores. My local Michael's is just starting to get Halloween stuff in such as ribbons and stuff.

Also you can start making stuff now and make it easier, I highly recommend sending handmade items for this swap!

Looks like we're gonna need a bigger box.. I have almost gathered all 13 items and some of them are quite..."fluffy". heehee

Oh, have I mentioned that I live 1/2 block from this place?

The name of the town is Fairborn but the locals refer to it as HalloweenTown.

I live in U.K. sp don't have the shops mentioned above and our Halloween stuff doesn't come out till much later in the year - end of September, beginning of October but I like to make things so I will watch for now and if I have made/gathered enough by sign up day I'll join then. @MzPatti - lucky you! We have an all year round Christmas store about 30 miles away but i've never seen an all year round Halloween shop!

Gofeen, I do hope you join. I love handmade things, and would be thrilled if you were to be my partner.
