Cemetery Story from Grave stones/memorial. EDITED

Love this idea. I've written stories based on obituaries in newspapers before, which I've been told is a bit weird. Now I know I'm not alone!

@ShyRaven - Check out Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters sometime. It's a collection of fictional epitaphs describing the stories of an entire town. It's simply amazing.

I'd join this swap except I can't write down "all the words" as I'm thinking of a grave marker I saw in Thailand at a military grave from the 1940s. I thought at the time that the words from the wife [or sister or mother] on the stone held a story. I'd kind of like to write the story but I would be upset if I were given a 3 rating for not following the swap instructions.

Does the cemertary need to be where I live or can it be any cemerary as i'm going away in July and I know where the cemertaries are down there up here I don't and down there is a glowing cross I lived there all my life and have seen it glow and I know a bit bout the PERSON IN GRAVE THAT PROVIDING OF COURSE THE HEAD STONE HAS NOT BEEN DISTROYED. As I know a few were in that cemertary. bUT i KNOW I'd find something if not that one. I'll go waiting list till I know.

kathleen hun I think you missed June's point she saw the stone while in Tialand so can't take down words nor can she take a pic. bUT MAYBE WE could let her get away with what she can remember of it as she must remember some of it is it is in her head to write story bout it. Wonderful June glad y in. My brother tells me the cemetery still there but has been moved up hill but sadly the glowing cross is not there vandles got in and smashed it. Saddly I know his story and was sad one but 4 life of me can't remember wording on grave stone. But I'M BOUND TO FIND ANOTHER OLDER GRAVE. i LOVE LOOKING AT OLDER GRAVES THEY TELL STORY.
