Description:

I love scavenger hunts and I LOVE candy, so this is the best of both worlds! This would be a great hunt to do with your kids or have then do it on your behalf, gives them something fun to do!

THE SWAP

You will have 1 partner. In your package you will need at least one piece of candy to fit EACH of the categories below. So even if a piece of candy can fit into multiple categories, it only fulfills 1 type. That means your package MUST contain at least 5 pieces of candy. If you get stumped try checking out the bulk candy section of your local grocery store.

This does not have to be an expensive swap and the candy does not need to full-sized, in fact, try to stick to around $3-$5 including shipping.

You will only have 1 week to send the package out, but since this is not profile based feel free to start hunting before partners are assigned.

1-hard

2-square

3-sour

4-grape (OR apple for intl swappers)

5-pink

Also, this is senders choice and NOT profile based, so if you get a package that meets all of the categories you MUST rate a "5", even if you do not like the candy!

TO PARTICIPATE

-You must have a rating of 4.85 or better with no unexplained 1's or 3's in the last 3 months.

-If you live in a country that has strict rules about getting candy in the mail, please DO NOT sign up!

-Newbies are welcome with a WELL FILLED OUT profile.

Angel rules:

*Must have waited the full 2 weeks after the send date AND contacted your partner and gotten no response or an unsatisfactory response

*Must have rated your partner a 1 for no send

Contact me after the above conditions have been met and I will happily send you a lovely package to make up for the one you got flaked on. Please include in your PM the name of the swap you would like an angel package for and the name of your flaker so I can post their name in the flakers group.

I am not sure how difficult "grape" is to find overseas, if it's really tough let me know and I will add i another flavor option!

No chocolate this time of year in FLORIDA...will melt. Thank you!

Grape is easy in Australia.

Grape gum, grape zappos, grape mentos etc.

daydreamsinthedesert 05/27/2010 #

Winter in Australia, so chocolate is ok :-)

@diddledonna the link doesn't work for me, but are you referring to the "sweet stuff swappers" group? If so that's a great place to be right now as I just post a "MASTERS SERIES" candy hunt, which is a bit harder and more extensive then this one :)

Please no chocolate, it is getting pretty hot here, and I'm sure it would be melted. Thanks!!!

Grape is a bit difficult to find in the UK I think. Apple would be a good alternative. I'm watching for now, but I enjoyed participating in the first scavenger hunt :-)

sduckson 06/ 1/2010 #

@Crochetninja - i added apple as a choice, hopefully this will allow more people to participate!

Crochetninja 06/ 2/2010 #

Yay! I'm joining now :-)

no chocolate or gummy please, I love gummy, but it melts in the heat too! Excited to shop for this one!

I hope I'm not too picky here...but I really don't like lemon and orange flavour :(

BubblyGirl 06/15/2010 #

I found grape!!!!

needed to vent

kirstykai 06/16/2010 #

I dont mind chocolate. I am allergic to nuts but if its the only candy you can find for a category I can give it to my boyfriend - although I would prefer not to - haha

Is anyone on here posting from Australia to the US? My local (very small) post office told me I can't post candy to the US, this is the first I've heard. I checked on the Australia Post website and it says it's fine if the parcel is under the value of $25, which this obviously is. I'm going to try a different (i.e. larger and more reliable) post office tomorrow, but if anyone has any advice from experice that'd be appreciated!

So my parcel got through to my partner okay, and I got mine today. This has been the funnest swap! Please do another!!
