Happy Birthday Club - Let's Make Cards!

Now for the fun part:

I really wish I had the time to handmake all of my cards for the BDC, but I just don't. This swap will give us all a head start in getting ready for the 2008 birthdays.

For this swap, we will be making 3 cards or postcards for each of our 4 partners, for a total of 12 cards or post cards. They must be suitable for mailing as birthday cards/PCs but should not have any words on them so that all of our members, including those whose first language is not English, can use them. Please include envelopes with the cards. PCs do not require them (please do not complete the backs of the PCs, again, for language reasons).

The mix of cards vs PCs, as well as the styles, will be sender's choice but, if your partners have colour preferences in their profiles, please take those into consideration. Please do not make any special requests below.

Any materials or media are fine, including digital images, as long as they involve some effort and creativity on your part. Please make and send something you would love to receive yourself.

The cards/PCs should be thin and light enough to mail with just a regular postage stamp, so please be careful about chunky embellishments. (I know that my PCs are sometimes too thick for a regular stamp so I plan to send a little extra cash along to make up the postage difference, but that is NOT a requirement of this swap as long as you keep your cards/PCs thin/light enough.)

I am giving everyone plenty of time to make their cards. Anyone who flakes will be banned from the BDC forever, so please do not join this swap if you are not sure you can make and send 12 cards by November 19!
