Description:

create a whimsy jar with a theme for your partner that is based on home cooking or baking or both!

the whimsy jar can be glass, plastic, metal... just as long as it is decorated!

as far as size goes think "medium sized". meaning, the size of the mid-sized glass yankee candles or a small jelly or mason jar size (you can PM me for pictures to get a better idea of what i mean if you'd like or use the blank jar in the swap picture as a guide line).

fill the whimsy with (but not limited to): miniature cooking items or food, recipes or blank recipe cards, small kitchen utensils that can be used, food or kitchen themed stickers, ribbon & other craft items... to be honest the more you use your imagination & have fun with this the better! the possibilities are endless that way. :)

also, hand made items are fine (like polymer clay things or whatever else your crafty minds can make and come up with). because the size isn't too large & i don't want to always exclude our international friends this will be an international swap. i have given PLENTY of time to gather goodies for this.

no angeling for this one (sorry) so sign up only if you can complete the swap.

as always...

  • no 1s or 3s in the last 2 months unless you PM me and we talk it out first. any questions always feel free to ask that's what i'm here for

  • 4.9 or higher rating required

  • newbies are welcome if you have completed 10 swaps & at least 5 of them are package or type 3 swaps

Great idea, I love it ! And thanks for including us internationals.

PS: Could you give a measurement of the height and width of the jar; the pic has nothing in it to compare it to.

I wish I could join, but I'm brand new to swap-bot and just sent my first swap :(

@cleopatra - I try to include internationals when I can because if the swap is small enough it doesn't cost too much to ship. If people want to do a USA regional of this swap I would be ok with that though. As far as measurements the jar I'm using I got from IKEA and is 3 1/2 inches long, 2 3/4 inches across and 2 inches wide. I don't know the conversions of that for international people, sorry! A gerber baby food jar would work too. This is not a super large container, but isn't really small either. Hope this helps!

@luleemik - if you want to make a newbie friendly version of this (or someone else does) please feel free to do so!

I had to drop out because of shipping international costs. Can someone list a usa one? That would be great! :)

a 4 oz Gerber baby jar is a decent size for this swap...
