I've never made inchies before, so this will be my very first time. :)

paperholic 08/ 5/2007 #

Hi Selise - I've not made inchies before either so there will be at least 2 of us inchienewbies!

Beckster 08/ 5/2007 #

Inchies are fun to make. The size is a little intimidating at first but once you get started, they're easy! It doesn't take long to make a bunch...just think small....

Sally 08/ 6/2007 #

My first time too!

LMM 08/ 8/2007 #

I loved the inchies I got from the last swap...they were fun to make too!

mcall 08/10/2007 #

This sounds so much fun! I can't wait to begin :)

GigiMinor 08/12/2007 #

Hi! This will be my first Inchie swap- was wondering if they have to be given "loose" or can I glue them down into a collage for my partner?

Beckster 08/13/2007 #

I think loose is better. Your partner may have other ways of displaying them. You can ask your partner what their preference is, once partners are assigned.

GigiMinor 08/15/2007 #

Thanks! Will do!

FingersInc 08/15/2007 #

I will assume that the back side should have our name/swap-bot name on just like an ATC...wouldn't you think? That way, we will know in the future who sent us the awesome little things!

Beckster 08/17/2007 #

Yes! let your partner know who sent them. You just need to write small!

MicheleoneL 08/22/2007 #

anyone that can e-mail me a link to these things? sounds too cute!! TIA!

elasticcamel 08/23/2007 #

I have never made inchies either, but it sounds like a lot of fun!

Rhianna 08/24/2007 #

I'd also love to see a link about these, or possibly just a picture!

Beckster 08/24/2007 #

I'm trying to find a few links....

Beckster 08/24/2007 #

I put a picture up in the description area. It's not the best picture but it's the only scan I have of inchies!

twobluecrows 08/27/2007 #

Try this--I just used Google/Images "Inchies" : http://images.google.com/images?q=inchies&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=com.google:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi

This one is good, too! http://www.artjunk.typepad.com/cutting_squares/ Cyn

LibraLady 08/28/2007 #

Do the inchies all have to have the same 'theme'? Or can they be all different?

Beckster 08/29/2007 #

They can all be different themes.

atcdesigner 08/29/2007 #

I'm new, but I made sure my profile was complete just so I could be in this swap. Sounds like fun!

chaitea 08/30/2007 #

~so what does one do with all these little treasures????

curious because I have never done a swap like this!!

beenebag 08/31/2007 #

When do we find who our swap partners are?

Beckster 09/ 2/2007 #

chai-tea: I display mine in an altered board book. It makes a nice little album.

huhlaroo 09/ 4/2007 #

Lawrence & StaceyD, your inchies are on their way! I hope you like them!

Artistic 09/ 4/2007 #

Inchies -- what fun this was! -- are en route to my partners as of this afternoon.

missychrissy 09/ 6/2007 #

Kelli in Tasmania and Betsybryant, your inchies are on their way to you as of this morning. Coming from England so may take a few days.

Lisapotterylady 09/ 9/2007 #

Thanks to Gigi for some really cute inchies!

twobluecrows 09/10/2007 #

I use mine as embellishments on ATCs, or pages in an altered book. I treat them like little jewels to accent something larger.

I just uploaded pictures of the ones I made in the gallery here for examples, and there are others there, too that are of a different but also really nice style.

Janet and Gigi, yours will be in the mail in the morning!

I have sent mine has anyone received yet?

Kelli 09/13/2007 #

I have received my inchies from Missy Chrissy, Thanks for the extra ones too.

I am collecting mine and when I have about a thousand, I am going to make a huge grid style collage. So far I have 16! Yes, a way to go... feel free to send me some if anyone wants to be a part of my collage!!!

MARY 09/15/2007 #

BEENEBAG and KIMBEEWA...

I will be sending your packages on Monday on my way to work. Hope you will like my first Inchie attempt!

Yosefa 09/16/2007 #

This is my first swap and I'm really excited. Do we need to glue our inchies to cardboard or cardstock?

purple1740 09/18/2007 #

No you dont need to glue them to anything but you can if you want. Most people like them loose.

mcall 09/21/2007 #

Just sent mine.. WOW! these were fun to do !

fearfulpenguin 09/24/2007 #

Mine will go out in the morning... I have put mine into a little book as I was scared to send them loose, but I fastened them using photo corners so they are easy to take out if the people receiving them want to! :) They are coming from England, going to Susi and Maria - enjoy! I hope you like them! x

fearfulpenguin 09/24/2007 #

Just looked in the gallery, the incheis in there are gorgeous, wish I could create things like them!

GreedyGoretti 09/28/2007 #

Jessie-messie-bo-bessie and GayleClancy, your inchies were sent out this morning. Kelli in Tasmania, I've sent some to to you today as well.

Alisa 09/29/2007 #

Rosalie Ackerson and gck:

Your inchies are winging their way towards you! I have to admit, I started making some other ones and I just wasn't satisfied with how they were coming out, so I started over and made a collage, which I punched the inchies out of. I hope you like them!

aloha, Alisa

Lisapotterylady 10/ 2/2007 #

Panda and Andrea ~ your inchies have been mailed.

paperholic 10/ 5/2007 #

TillieKnife and Snaxy - your inchies were posted a couple of days ago from Australia - apologies for the delay. I have uploaded pictures into the gallery - unfortunately I forgot to rotate the image before uploading so you will all have to twist your necks to see them. (If you look it won't entirely spoil the surprise as scanned the whole 20 in as one image - you won't know which ones you will be getting until the postie comes!)

twobluecrows 11/20/2007 #

paperholic, I really likes yours! I'm going to try creating some in that sort of style which is so different from what I usually do! It looks so versatile! Cyn

paperholic, I really like yours! I'm going to try creating some in that sort of style which is so different from what I usually do! It looks so versatile! I like the wordy background (something I can do with old love letters ;) ), and the different focus point faces and animals...very striking. Cyn
