Use those Punches and Machines!

Sorry, this is my first swap I am hosting, not sure if this really is a type 3 or a type 2?

I would say this is a type 3 since it is a package of stuff...

So, is it 40 items punched out using at least 15 different papers/materials or is it 60 items in total. sorry, just a bit unsure what is meant.

Are hand punches O.K. to use ie not the ones that go with the big expensive machines? Maybe one day Santa will bring me one of those but I don't have one just now. :>)

I'm a little confused about the 15 different items/patterns - do you mean we need to have at least 15 different diecut patterns and/or punches? I just ask because I think I have a grand total of 10 diecuts and larger punches, combined. I'm not counting my Cuttlebug embossing folders, or my little punches - would those count?

I only have little punches too. Like @Gofeen I am hoping Santa brings me one one day lol. So watching with interest.

Yes, Sorry...like I said this is a learning process for me to! you will need to have about 15 differnt patterns or punches (small ones are ok, just make more then 1 count for one maybe 3?) and make a few differnt papers for each one.

Sorry hun just have wee question.Surely die cuts can be card ,as sometimes dont work to well if paper??you seem to stipulate Paper.,

sorry, cardstock or pattern paper is fine, I use the term diecuts loosely, cuse I am not sure what else it is called? a punch-out? a cut from your machine or punch?

am with @maroyau would love to join but I've only like... 3 mini punches, 2 martha stewart punches and a border punch ): will be watching ^^

and just to clarify the embossing folders for 'allaboutpaper' & myself ... do those count as an item?? ie... embossing with a folder on a few different colors of cardstock counts as one item?? If not, maybe I could send them as bonus items...??

Okee, so what we're looking for here is:

a) a nice big variety of patterns (at least 15) - like BeauceronsRock said, for example, a dog, fish, cat, flower, leaves, etc. b) on a nice big variety of papers and/or cardstock (so that each person is getting a minimum of 40 die-cut and/or punched out embellishments). c) And if you're using little punches, punch a WHOLE bunch out, since that would be kinda rude to only send something like two mini-flowers, when others are sending several die-cut sized punch-outs.

Do I have it now? LOL, I'm new, too, but yes, I so want to use my old Zip E'Mate and cute punches!

And the jury's still out on the embossing folders, right?

I will angle this if their are flakers Jingles, this is a really cheap swap to send, just paper should be light.

And I vote YES on the embossed papers, I don't have an embossing maching and would LOVE some papers!

@flacrafter that's an awesome deal for the Cricut Expressions. I have the original Cricut and the Cricut Expressions, I love them both, my next one I want is the Cricut Cake :) I have other die cut machines and dies but they are currently in storage.

One question as I'm watching swap....are we sending total of 80 cuts/embossed assortment as it shows we will have two partners so each partner gets 40?

yes, it will be a total of 80 peices between two partners, 40 each

Aren these to be embellished before they're sent?

no, just plain. of course feel free to use specialty papers and if u want to add some embellishment, I am sure your swap partner would not mind, but it is not a swap requirement.

WOOT on the Embossing Folders! Count me in!! Those are so fun to use, and soooo pretty. Have you all seen this site? It's got over 200 things you can do with your Cuttlebug/Any Die Cut machine, and talks about a TON of techniques for using embossing folders. http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2008/03/ive-been-bitten.html Careful, very image intensive, will take a little bit to load.

oooh, I would love some embossed shapes or pieces of paper from the Big Shot! :) I can offer Silhouette shapes!

Okay so I got off the fence and hit join. :) I have had at one point every die cut machine. I now have just my two upgrades the big shot and expression. So I can emboss, cut, and cricut my way on Friday when I'm off. Will partners be assigned by then? I wonder as to what mine might like. As I have a variety.

I've had a rough week but got these mailed. Hubby passed out and hit the floor hard the other night, we ended up at the ER, but they sent him home saying they couldn't find anything, but his regular dr. has been ordering lots of tests. Then our AC broke, so going almost 2 days without air conditioning was horrible, esp. since both hubby and I have health problems. They did fix it today. YAY!

I forgot to say I hope my partners enjoy their die cuts, I really wanted to do a bigger variety with more than what was stated to send, but with all going on, I couldn't do it. I did manage to send a little extra :)

I'd like to say thanks to @sommer1 who did not disappoint with the embossed papers!! wooo hooo!!
