Description:

This is the first swap in a monthly series. Each month will have a different theme.

The theme this month is SWAP GOODIES.

Select an assortment of fun items that can be used to "pump up" your partner's swaps. The ideas are endless: swap cards, address labels, stickers, embellishments, notecards, fun envies, pens, memo sheets, deco tape, etc.

Items can be handmade or store bought, but value should be in the $5-$8 range.

Once you selected all the goodies, grab an empty 2 liter bottle. Make sure it's been washed and dried. Cut a door in the side of the bottle. Stuff all the goodies into the bottle. Tape up the flap and glue on the lid. Add an address label and that's it! No additional wrapping necessary.

More detailed instructions if you need them.

A quick note about quality - only send items that you would be overjoyed to receive. Remember the purpose of this group is to spoil your partner.

Guidelines:

Must have been rated for 10 separate snail mail swaps, 4.9 rating or higher, no 1's or 3's within the past 6 months without a valid explanation, known non-raters may also be banned. I will ban anyone that I feel might not be able to fulfill the swap requirements.

This swap is sender's choice, but make sure your profile is WELL filled out. Just in case your partner wants to send some profile based items.

Yes @MoonHalo these can really be amazing! I used to do these all the time with my stamping/scrapbooking buddies. They are so much fun to send and receive.

I would love to do this, but I think my post office would have a coronary about the bottle. being military they are completely anal.

This is awesome! I'm really excited to start creating this swap! I've never sent or received anything in such creative packaging before, so I'm pumped to take part in this!

@FOOF4E if you are worried about the package coming in to you, your sending partner might be willing to brown paper wrap it. If you worried the outgoing package, you can probably wrap yours in brown paper. I don't think there will be any objections. Participants, speak up. LOL.

it's out going mail that they are neurotic about. "this is too small or that is 2 mm off & we need to charge extra..." have to see if I feel like arguing with them. (& I gave them cookies at Christmas - brats.)

lol you can always buy your postage online and then ya don't have to deal with them at the post office. lol

i went to my post office and asked about this. SHE told me they could not ship this out. I informed her that my niece sent out a 16 oz bottle last year for her 16th birthday invitations.. It had sand in it along with a tiny lei an umbrella toothpick some tiny shells and the invitation itself.. She said that she would check inot it.. Looked on the computer, yes, she took her time, but I was not about ot leave til she let me know why my niece did and I coud not.. The line was building up and people were getting cranky.. FINALLY she said,Oh I see,as long as it isn't LIQUID we can send it.. What a cute idea!!! BLAH BLAH BLAH...

Good to know @mizvicky It's amazing how swappers can get different answers depending on which PO they visit and which postal worker they get!
