Show Me Your Heart

The history: I made my heart once. I took an old candy box, a Whitman's Sampler box to be exact, and filled each spot with a different heart. My heart. All the different pieces of it. Each was made out of a different material and each had a small note attached to them telling what they represented. It was for a swap; the heart I got from a girl in Sweden was literally a stuffed felt human heart recreation that hangs right above where my laptop sits. She got mine, I got hers, and it's a piece of art I truly treasure.

I decided it was time to do it again...

Your mission: to craftily/artistically recreate your heart. What it is, what it's been through, what it feels, etc. It's truly open to interpretation. It can be the story of your worst breakup or a bottle of broken glass or a mixed cd (all three) or well...whatever you can come up with!

It doesn't have to be anything expensive, but it just requires thought. Don't tailor it to your partners likes/dislikes...its your heart.

Everyone will have one partner and please know that this is open to everyone, so you might get an international partner. I am more than happy for newbies to join us, but if you are, please just drop me a note first.

Edited July 30th: someone asked for ideas on what to send and I realized I left that part out. You can make and send your partner whatever you'd like that represents what you think your heart is. It can be an old journal, a stuffed heart, paper mache, an aluminum foil ball...the possibilities are endless. All that's required is that you send along a short note (or long, if that's your thing) explaining why and what it is you've sent your partner. There's only one limit and that be that your heart be hand crafted.
