I really love to embroider, but I've noticed there are hardly ever any embroidery swaps. I'd really like that to change and that's why I'm here. For this swap, you must send one partner a 4x4 in. work of embroidery. Subject is sender's choice. However, blue must be the main color used. Other colors are fine as long as it is mostly blue. I know blue might not be everyone's favorite color, so I was planning on doing a series of swaps in different colors if this one went well. Alright, the requirements: Please, no one with a rating under 4.7. Newbies are welcome with a filled out profile. I will angel if necessary, but I will report you if you flake and don't contact me about it. Because this work doesn't have to be large, I'll make it international. Happy swapping! EDIT: I've extended the dates because I see a lot of people are watching, and I thought maybe two weeks wasn't long enough for some.

does cross stitch count as embroidery? Some think it does others say no. What do you say?

EddyG - I think cross stitch does count, as do all the other categories like blackwork, ribbon embroidery, crewel, and stumpwork, etc. That's my opinion at least. As long as your partner doesn't have a specific objection to cross stitch, you should be fine.

Great! I hope you will do other 'color' themed embroidery swaps. That way we can make a rainbow pillow? quilt? something? of them!

Does the piece need to be exactly 4x4, or at least that size?

Camelsamba: At least that size. It can be as large as you like as long as it's that big.
