My husband is always listening to me go on about swap-bot, and different ideas I have for hosting. Well he said, I know of one... What does everyone have a few of.....yet noone can bring themselves to throw out....old keys..... Great idea...altered art into a sort of embellishment. A nice sized tag, or even a small page layout with a spot for photo, as long as its had effort put it. There are so many options for this , anything you want to make incorporating the key....please go for it. I am looking forward to all the ideas from this. If you would like please post a pic of your swap when received somehow, so we can all see the nice work involved. Be creative!! Be courteous!! Climb out of the box on this one... You will only have 1 partner, and I am making it international as it shouldn't be terribly expensive to mail out. No newbies or recent 1's....as I will be checking Thank you so much for looking

ok, so it has to be altered in some kind of scrapbooky way? cuz "altered key" could be all kinds of things, like jewelry for instance. Or made into part of a box or something. There are all kinds of 'altered art" but your examples and size limits make it sound like it can only be scrapbooky.

that was what i was thinking, jewelry. I don't really do scrapbook. Any chance this could be jewelry 2.

@KatarinaNavane Thanks so much for the idea, I was tired when writing this last night lol, I edited the swap to incorporate more suggestions...anything made with the key is just fine!!

I want to join too - brilliant idea, but im concerned about the min size .... no less than 4" square .... I dont have a key that big, just a normal house door. Am i misunderstanding?

I removed it, lol....I meant really for an embellishment style, the sizing, but I see it was really restrictive.
