Description:

For the last five or so years, I’ve been doing Monday mailers with a swap partner on another list. (We were partnered together in an original MMM Swap, and have stayed together through the years continuing the friendship. ) This swap will be based on that.

Every Monday, you’ll mail your partner an envelope or small package that contains something to read and something to do or try.

Something to read. Examples include, but are not limited to: a letter, an article, a short story or a book, a zine, etc.

Something to do or try. Examples include, but are not limited to: craft kits (for cards, ATCs, dotees, etc), crossword, sudoko or other puzzles, recipes to try out, a profile-related project or activity, a mix CD to listen to, etc.

March has five Mondays. That means you’ll be sending five envelopes out to your partner, one each on March 1, March 8, March 15, March 22 and March 29.

The first MMM should include a letter introducing yourself to your partner which will serve as the something to read, as well as something for your partner to do or try.

Each subsequent MMM should have something to read and something to try. Feel free to respond to your partner. Maybe a long-term friendship will develop.

Rate your partner after receiving the fifth envelope/package.

The fine print: This is an international swap. Newbies welcome with a completed profile. Rated players need a 4.8 or higher and no 1 or 3 ratings in the last three months. I review the signups after the join by date. I aim for all participants to have positive swap experiences.

Glad to have all of you.

TAnn, I hope to. We'll see how participation goes. :)

maybe once partners are assigned we could set up a private swap for each monday package sent, i think this might reduce the risk of flakes as you will have to rate your partner 6 times what do you reckon?

Artistic 02/12/2010 #

You rate your partner once, at the end of the month after you've received all five mailings. If you don't receive all five, you rate accordingly.

Please tell me you'll be organizing this again! I'm way too busy to do it right now, but it sounds awesome to try out.

just so I understand -- packages should be postmarked on Mondays, right?

sounds like such an awesome swap!

I would LOVE to do this but will be out of town for a week in March, so I'll be unable to participate. I'll keep a look out for other months and hopefully sign-up then. Happy Swapping!

Partners have been assigned. See your e-mail box for a swap message from me.

Have fun... and let's get swapping!
