Description:
March is 'Music in Our Schools Month' in the US. As a music teacher I like to promote music however I can. Help me celebrate by making music themed ATCs. I will be sharing the ones I get with my students. The ATCs can have music on them, lyrics to your favorite song, pictures of musicians, instruments, music notes, etc. They can be hand drawn, collaged, zentangles, fabric - you choose. Let your musical imagination go wild!! Just be sure to send cards you would like to get yourself - put some time and thought into them, please. Send 1 ATC to 2 partners for a total of 2 Music ATCs. Your ATC's should be the traditional size - 2.5 x 3.5 and have a sturdy backing. Newbies welcome! I will angel any no-sends - so please let me know if you don't get yours and I will send you one.

FANTASTIC! My musician friend just gave me a bunch of old (not yellowed as they are just copies of vocal pieces) pieces of music!

If anyone needs a sheet, let me know! I can't give some to everyone, but I'm happy to share what I can!

I want to make ATC's, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Is there a good site that shows examples or gives pointers?

If you just search for ATC's on the internet you will find lots of links. The gallery at www.atcsforall.com is good, too. They can be mini works of art - or more like mini scrapbook pages. They can be flat or have bits & bobs attached to them.

Some of you should sign up for my 'Music Zentangle ATC swap', too. It's 'newbie-friendly' and Zentangles are lots of fun! There are some samples on the swap so you can see what Zentangles are.

Count me in! My oldest granddaughter (now in the 7th grade) has been playing the violin since the 3th grade. She has been taking private lessons and attended music camp in the summer.

Yes - Late tomorrow (Sat, Feb 20) or Sunday I will close it for signups and Swap-bot will assign your partners. Then you will be able to see who you send to in the top right tan box (which will say something like 'See who I send to' once the partners are assigned.

This was so much fun!! I would have mailed my ATC's out but I wanted to let them dry just a little more before dropping them in the RAIN-mail... I will take my chances later tonight. Annie :-)
