Description:

This swap is also a bit of a tutorial.

These shoes are made of paper, and are to be made in your crafty interpretation of Marie Antoinette. This is one shoe for one partner. It should be at least 6 inches long. Please "go all out" add layers of papers, rhinestones, feathers, fabric. Add glitter, sparkle, and whatever else you think an 18th century French Queen would love!

I will post the tutorial in the groups forum.

As with all our swaps. it's meant to encourage and try new things! If it looks good enough to publish, all the better!!

Please remember it's paper and fairly light, but will be needed packed as not to squish, so all your hard work isn't ruined in th email!!

If you can, please post a pic in our forum of either your sent or received swap. I hope we can inspire each other!

This really looks lovely, I just don't have enough time for it. Go for it!

I love this idea and I am anxiously waiting to make it. I think you should do a whole shoe project. Maybe cowboy boot's ATC's, flip-flops, rainboots. Use different craft projects like note cards or ATC's. My girlfriend just made a Cowboy boot ATC, that is why I mentioned it. LOL you get the idea.

I agree with the shoe projects. I actually joined this group because someone told me about this shoe swap. I live shoes, and not just because it was my daughter's first word...really.

I just checked out the Marie Antoinette trailers on YouTube and found " I Want Candy" by Bow Wow and they show the shoe scene. Fun

Another thing is that I find myself getting all dreamy about the paper I should use to do this project. LOL
