Envelopes

Question... The description lists calendars as a possible source of printed material and I assume people will be using the decorative part of it, which isn't likely to have words. Not all sheet music will have words, either.

How strict is the "has words on at least one side of it" part? :)

Hmmm... that is a good question. Let's say only one envelope of the three or more you will send can have images ONLY, such as a calendar page or sheet music, the other two (at least) should have some type of words...a book, magazine, flyer, etc. But what does everyone else think? That is my opinion but I am quite willing to go with the majority here. :) (because I only added the word rule to make it literary... in fact the idea of the envelope itself could be considered somewhat mildly literary, if a letter will be enclosed later)

That sounds very reasonable to me, thank you. :) I really like the idea of recycling magazines, catalogs, etc. into handmade envelopes, but not all of mine had words showing.

I do have a suggestion... maybe include a note about minimum/maximum sizes? I'm going on the assumption that "mailing envelopes" means they must be larger than 3.5" x 5", but smaller than 6.125" x 111.5", which is the USPS guideline for first class letters.

Yes... those measurements are good. I actually take apart (gently) a regular mailing envelope (from a box of envelopes I purchase) and use that as my initial template. Then I know it is a standard mailing size.

And if we end up liking this swap we can adjust it as we want in the future... :)
