Description:

I did this swap back in August & it was a nice success - so let's try it again.

Fabric cuts come in different discriptions. We have charms and jelly rolls. Now there are "layer cake" fabric squares that are larger than the regular charms. They are 10"x 10" squares and I think these are great as you can do a lot with that size:

•Make a nice quick lap quilt with these big squares.

•Cut them into quarters and you have 4- 5"x5" charm size.

•Cut them in half & have 2 - 5" squares and cut strips from the 2nd half.

•Cut strips only

•Cut on the diagonal once or twice & have triangles.

•Create purses, dotees, lap quilts and craft projects.

Requirements:

• Send 10 -10" charm squares to 1 partner.

• Sender's choice with 1 exception - In the comment section below put COLORS or PRINTS YOU ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WANT - LIMIT 2-3 CHOICES !!! Ex: "I don't like purple, flowers or kids prints".

  • 100% cotton only; charms should be different w/some contrasting charms - tone on tone, batiks, floral - no solids & try not to include more than 2 charms from the same fabric.

• Please don't cut from blouses or clothing. Use nice pieces left over from projects, FQs and yardage.

  • Let your partner know if your fabric has been washed & pressed.

• Newbies welcome with a nice completed profile, at least 5 completed type 3 swaps and a 5 rating. Everyone else must have a minimum of 4.9 with a good excuse for any 1 or 3. I DO check profiles. Don't join this swap if you can't fulfill your obligations.

If you flake - you will be banned from any of my future swaps

PM me if any questions.

Just think - with 10 squares you could end up with

  • 40 - 5" charms or

  • 20 - 80 triangles depending on how you cut them

  • Up to 50-2" strips - or you can mix and match. Yea - now that sounds like fun!

I just moved house and I can't get to my fabric stash now, so I'm skipping this one, but please do another one just like this in a few months time!
