Wow - some of us will be enjoying that lovely white stuff soon, and will be outside with our children or grandchildren making snowmen. How about sharing them by making a fabric postcard? Be creative! What is frosty doing - riding downhill on a sled? Sitting on a car? Postcards must measure 4" x 6", be mailable, and on the back it MUST say POSTCARD across the top. They must be stiff - I have received floppy cards - lacking stiffener such as thin cardboard or card stock. This swap is newbie friendly - if you have never made a fabric postcard - now is the time to try it. However, if your rating is below 4.5, you are not welcome. Flakers are not welcome - too much work goes into a fabric postcard to not get one in return. These cards are to be mailed NAKED - that is without an envelope. You have 2 partners and you send a postcard to each of them. In return you will receive 2 postcards. So join us for the fun!

Linny, They say great minds think alike! I was just planning to put up a swap with a snowman postcard and then I saw your's!
I would suggest that since you have it International that you allow us to put them in envelopes because who knows what could happen to it once it flies the ocean... Rachel

I have received cards from Turkey, England and New Zealand - all naked and all were just fine. The preferred way is naked BUT if there is lots of embellishments that might cause a problem then certainly use an envelope.

Yes, you are right. I used to have fabric on both sides but I found it hard to write on and sometimes the stamps would not stick. The card stock works just great and it sews easily if you are binding the edges with a fancy stitch. Linda

A little tip if it helps. I HAVE sent fabric backs and I just WONDER UNDER the stamps on. Hope this helps.

Lick or stick a stamp to your Wonder Under than cut out and Iron to your Fabric card.

Thanks for the tip BooksNBears... I will give it a try - but I have a stack of cards already made - I find them almost addictive and cannot make just one! They also destroy my sewing room for some reason!
