how do you join the swap?

Under the grey box there is "Join Swap" in blue letters. You click on it.

Hopefully the host will be back. She has not logged in since the 6th, and also has a 1...

Just wondering, why partners haven't been assigned yet. Is this because the host hasn't signed in in a while? I really want some new sites to search....perhaps I'll host the same swap if this doesn't go through.

@gwen1111 The host has to manually assign the partners (well, click a button that says "assign partners", anyway) after the sign-up date, so presumably as soon as she signs in, she will assign them!

It's only the day after the sign-up deadline, and it's 10am (at least where I am)... she will probably sign in later today or tomorrow to assign!

it´s already 19th for me... What happened??

I'm wondering about this...Mmmm where can she be? Then you stop to think...people do get ill...a family member may be sick or god for bid other...and maybe shes a very busy person.

I was wondering the same thing. She hasnt been logged on since Nov 6th. Im thinking this swap might not happen.

Lets all just drop from the swap! I hear e-mail swaps are bad for our profile ratings. They say they don't look good towards others etc..

^ E-mail swaps are bad for your profile? Huh? I'll tell you what, postal swaps are bad for my budget! Haha. I've taken to doing electronic swaps because only do I not need a lot of clutter/STUFF, but postage is just too outrageous for some things.

I would drop from this swap but I'm hoping it still goes on... or perhaps someone else is willing to re-host the same one... I already have my list ready to go!

Anyway, if any of you are interested in electronic swaps, I am hosting a few right now included the Themed Links Email Swap as I mentioned before. :)

I am a newbie that signed up for this swap... does it look bad for my rating (or as of now non rating) to have an unfinished swap????

@taoofcraft It won't reflect on you at all because the host hasn't assigned partners. You only get a bad rating if you're in the swap, partners are assigned, and you fail to send your part. Hope that helps! :)

Hey Guys- Its Stacy....the host for the swap! I just assigned partners, and then read through all of the comments that were posted on here. Wow, some of you guys are real swap nazis! I love Swapbot, but I also have a life:) So I dont get to log in every day. So to everyone I would just say...take a breather...you can tell by my ratings that I follow through! Hope everyone has fun and that you get a lot of great new websites!

Apologies Stacy, but if you start a swap, and assign a date for a swap, then you are in turn responsible for it. I would have been more understanding under other circumstances. Thanks for assigning partners regardless.

I agree with the prevailing sentiment. If swappers are expected to send by the deadlines, then coordinators/hosts are expected to assign partners right after the sign-up deadline.

You guys REALLY need to lighten up. If you live and die by the deadlines on swap-bot...then you need to get a life! Partners were assigned two days after deadline, nobody died, all is well.....now sit back, relax, and get off the computer once in awhile and out in the real world:)
