It's time for a challenge. Just say "yes I can!" and jump in with both feet. We won't tell if you don't make a perfect landing! Here's what we'll do: Find an ugly fabric. Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. Just make sure it's 100% cotton in a normal quilting weight. Purchase a yard of the fabric, and split it 4 ways. You'll send one quarter yard to each of your partners. Send a regular 1/4 or a fat quarter. It's ugly, so who cares which direction you cut it?! If you'd prefer to send on some ugly fabrics that you already have, it's acceptable to send different 1/4 yards to each of your partners. The only rule of it: Ugly = good. Old, stinky, or dirty = bad. ;-) Sending the swap on or before the send-by date is expected. On the rare occasion that you must be late in sending, please contact your partners and host by the sending deadline. Once your uglies arrive, the fun will really begin. Let's see what good use we can put our ugly fabrics to. Bonus points if you are able to combine all 4 uglies into one item. :-) I will post an Ugly Fabric Challenge thread in the Quilts n' Things forum. I hope you'll share your ugly fabric creations with us when they are done! Feel free to also post pictures of the fabrics you send or receive before they are incorporated into a finished product. We would love to ooooh, ahhhh, and uuugh with you! Let me know if you need any help posting photos. I'll also post directions in the forum thread. Have fun shopping and sewing!

I would like to offer my sincerest sympathies and apologies to all of my partners for the butt ugly FQs that are on their way to you. I would suggest that you put on your sunglasses and take somne dramamine before you open the envelopes.

OnyxLight really digged to find the crappy stuff she sent out - oh my goodness, it is AWFUL! It amazes me that manufacturers waste such lovely quilting cotton with patterns and colours like this. And my worst fear in this swap is that someone may actually LIKE what they receive. lol (I wouold give OL 5 herarts if I could.)
