Steampunk Service Medal Swap

Since this is a steampunk group, I will not spend much time explaining the steampunk aspect of this swap other than what we generally expect is a fusion of retrofuturistic aesthetics with a dash of romanticism. The idea is to make one medal commemorating service to the realm either in the field of battle, the sciences or the arts. Or, indeed, a melange thereof.

You will be crafting this medal for one person, as well as concocting and writing a description of what the medal commemorates or celebrates- what achievement is being rewarded.
