Description:

Please send one naked post card to one partner.

This post card must be in some shape - for instance, round, or other shaped post card.

Not a regular square or rectangular card.

Must have some sort of shape to it.

Can be any type of post card - For instance - of a city scene, amusement park, shape of clothing, this that whatever..

Senders Choice.

  • EXCEPT -

Please no x-rated/nudes/proselytising/hand-made.

~ Ok, I am adding some more detail to my explanation ~

What I mean by Shaped Post Card is:

Like a die-cut shape.

For instance - If it is a completely round card, it could be of a beach ball, or, it could have a scene on it, or a multi-scene..

Or, it could be in a shape of a house, a hat, a star.. but, Not just a card with a side cut away.

The whole card should be in the shape of some sort of form, or, of some sort of item.

If anybody can explain this better, please do - 'cuz I am terrible with words! lol

So, it must be in a shape, but NOT handmade? That might be rather difficult to find store-bought cards in unique shapes.

slamophile 09/25/2009 #

well for this swap, it's no handmade ones.. sorry!

Earewen 09/26/2009 #

Some postcards I found in my post office are rectangular but one side is shape cut like if it was the seaside shape, I hope you understand my poor english, would it fit the requirement ? (French girl inside, sorry for the language mistake if so)

slamophile 09/26/2009 #

Hmmmmm... No, Earewen, that's not exactly what I had in mind for this swap. I'm sorry. I guess what I have in mind is, more of a die-cut type of post card. I think I should edit the description above.. to explain more. Again, I'm sorry, Earewen... But - you were close!

Earewen 09/26/2009 #

it's ok, do not worry ^^ I cannot enter then, because postcards from my place do not fulfill the requirements, I never saw some like that here, maybe another time ^^

RandyAndCindi 09/26/2009 #

perhaps you could do a search on the internet on what you have in mind and post a link to it. I've seen cards with one side die cut, but can't remember ever seeing odd shaped cards.

slamophile 09/26/2009 #

well this heart, if it wasn't just printed on the white background paper, would be a shaped postcard.

These next three links, are also an example of what I mean by shaped postcards.. or, postcards with some sort of form to them:

Hi.. just wondering if we are going to send this postcard like it is or in a envelope..

slamophile 09/28/2009 #

As is, not in an envelope. Gee, I thought I put that in the explanation, but, I see I didn't - But, I did now. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

slamophile 09/30/2009 #

Well, it's Tuesday night, and, I just sent my post card. Thank you all for joining!

Some countries sell them, some don't. They seem to have a lot for sale in the UK, I noticed. Especially touristy ones. We have a few here in Australia but not many. You don't see them too often. However I happen to have one which my lucky partner is going to receive. ;)
