My favorite photo

Here's an opportunity for all of you photography enthusiasts to share your favorite photo:

You will mail 1 photo to 2 partners, of a favorite photograph you’ve taken. (2 photos total). It can be the same photo to two partners, or two different ones - the choice is yours. The photo can be of any subject matter (please keep it tasteful folks), provided that you (the sender) have taken the picture, and that it is a favorite.

You will also need to include a note that mentions the following:

• your swap-bot handle (the name you go by, so you can be rated)

• Include information on the camera used, and editing program if any.

• info about the photo (who it is of, where it was taken, why it’s your favorite, etc)

• information on a photographer you admire with a link to a website, photo gallery of their work, flickr account or blog.

Your photos should be printed of high-quality (printed on photo paper and be a photo quality print - so not on copy paper, please), whether you print them on your home computer, or at a lab is up to you. Your photo can be 4x6 or 5x7, and should be mailed in an envelope to protect it (not as a postcard please.)

edit (09/18/09) - international swappers may send a similar size photograph in metric equivalent, as it was brought to my attention that some countries do not have a 4x6 size. please contact me if you have any questions about this.

you may of course, send more than one photograph, but to meet the guidelines for this swap it is only necessary to send one favorite photograph. also, please keep in mind that you may only receive one photograph in return.

Please rate on your partner’s ability to meet the swap requirements (1 quality photo and the additional information) instead of whether or not you like the photos. Please rate once you receive your photographs, and do so as fairly as you can. Everyone relies on these ratings to join other swaps.

Requirements to join swap: Newbies are welcome with a well filled out profile and atleast 2 sent and rated (5 rating) type 2 or 3 mail swaps (e-mail swaps do not count toward this requirement). All others must have a minimum overall rating of a 4.8 with no (unexplainable) ones or threes. PM me if you do have 1’s or 3’s and would like to explain, exceptions may be made at my discretion. If you do not think you can deliver your swap items in a timely fashion, please do not join this swap (ie, don’t flake). This is an international swap, as postage for a note & single photograph is minimal.

Contact me if you don’t receive your package in a reasonable amount of time, I will help to try and resolve the situation and angel if necessary (but hopefully, it will not be an issue)
