Description:

Fall is coming soon, Winter not far behind it, and both just happen to be my favorite times to stitch. I love to curl up in my sewing room chair with a warn drink, a fur baby at my feet, all my favorite sewing gadgets, and a great stitching project:)

For this swap we will send a box of stitching goodies ($10 minimum) to our partner to help get them in the mood to stitch. It can be specalty threads, linen, a vintage hanky or tea towel to embellish, a starter kit for a beginner in the group, your favorite must-have gadget, a warm drink, or whatever you think will get them in the mood to stitch and inspire them. Also, you must share your talent and include one item that has been embroidered by you - a needle book, pin cushion, scissor fob, hanky, etc.

Please check your partner's profile so you can be sure to send them something they will enjoy and can use. Remember we have stitchers of all skill levels in our group and we are here to promote, encourage, and preserve hand embroidery. Think what an honor it would be to receive a stitcher's first or second piece:)

So...
1. One partner.
2. One item hand embroidered by you.
3. At least $10.00 in inspiring and useful stitching supplies.
4. All skill levels welcome.
5. Your very best effort.

Although I do not expect this to be the case in this group, I will angel if necessary. Please let me know if you have any questions or I can be of assistance to you.

Happy Stitching:)

i'm still really new to embroidery so a little nervous about making something for someone! I'll be watching and see if I can make up some things :-)

don't worry renees! I'm new to embroidery also! That's why I love these swaps, I'm forced to do it! And you know what they say, practice makes perfect! ;-)

my skill levels have declined a bit due to onset of arthritis -- cant wield the needle like I used to, but a simple design done well is what I have to offer :) Still an enjoyable craft, just doing it at a little slower pace than before.
