Creative Writing Journal

Would it be possible to add the character of a fairy? I'm currently writing a story and the main character is a fairy, or at least trying to and I think this would be a great exercise and get me moving along. I'm okay if you'd rather not, I just saw this swap and thought it would be fun and something that might help me with my writing. Thanks either way.

I am glad. I think it will be an awesome creative assignment. I am probably going to keep two journals so I can have one for myself when the swap is done. Who knows I may even continue to write in it just as a creative outlet from time to time.

I think we have Cereal Killers in our house, you should SEE how many boxes we go through in a month. :^)

That is exactly right. You become that person in your journal. So you write as if you were them.

If there any way that you could add a person form the1939/1940( waltons show type era) I have a idea I would love to do

I'm not sure how to word this, but since we are to "be " the characher in these, do we have to cencor them? Or can we just basically be ourselves?

@autumnbreezzz you don't want to be yourself...you want to be your character. =] I am not the host of the swap, but I would assume that if your character is, for instance, a mob boss, he probably wouldn't have a very clean mouth, and that would be expected.

Be yourself as long as it fits the character. Like I am sure a 50's housewife wouldn't be cursing nor would someone from the Victorian era. The Mob Boss on the other hand like somethingblue said he would probably be quite dirty mouthed. All I can really say is before you join take into consideration that you may get something with strong language back. Be prepared for that.

sounds like fun, a writing assignment, hmmm. will have to give this some serious thought. maybe I can find a blank pages book looking just right for one of these choices...

This might sound weird but can you add a Doll, I was just thinking that you could be a good doll or a bad doll up to person but I think that would be a really cool one I'll do it?? If not thats okay Ta

Sure you can make the journal. As long as you are able to make at least 25 entries that's all the matters.

Anyone else started their journal yet? I have made a couple entries and find it amazing how much I feel like my character while I am writing. This is truly a fun project.

I was wondering if I could participate... I have 5 package swaps completed but they don't say "package" on the description. They were ATC and craft swaps.

Regardless, I have begun- just because I like the idea :)

Someone mentioned to me that maybe we could make a copy of our journals on the computer and then we could share them with each other. In case anyone wants to read all of the journals. Feel free to do that. You don't have to but if you would like to share a digital copy with the other members of the group that would be awesome.

A good idea for this (I'm not accusing anyone, but there are always nasty people out there sadly) is to make a photocopy of everything you write and mail it to yourself. NEVER OPEN IT. This is the poor man's copyright tactic. That way if you ever see your journal published somewhere you have proof you wrote it.

That is a very good idea. I am also glad to see that I am not the only one who thought about the possibility of this.

I have pushed the due date back a tiny bit. Just in case people are traveling over Thanksgiving or other November vacations.

I just thought of this one: Garden Gnome... :( too bad I've already made my choice for this swap and am doing a fairy, but I think it'd be most fun to do a Garden Gnome for the next one!!

Garden Gnome does sound like a fun idea. Maybe I will host another one of these after the two I am currently doing finish.
