This shouldn't require much postage either so it saves a bit on money

I'm watching this one. Also i have a swap for a 5$ package of this type.

Cassidymonster 08/10/2009 #

OK well let me know if you have any questions :)

candigirl 08/10/2009 #

Make sure you take this to the counter and have it "hand cancelled"..if you don't, it might get stuck in the letter machine, due to the overly filled thickness of the envelope, and it will be all torn up and a disaster...

Just thought I'd mention it..

Can't wait! Sounds like fun!!!!! Lois

miskimmin 08/10/2009 #

I wish this was international :(

Candyn29 08/10/2009 #

I'm watching. may join closer to sign up.

Cassidymonster 08/11/2009 #

I only did regional because of postage and this being one of my very first swaps. I can try an international one if this one goes well. I hope all of you get some really cool stuff :)

What is the measurements for this? 6 x 9"?

Cassidymonster 08/14/2009 #

Yeah 6X9 just a regular letter envelope, if you want bigger then go for it. Have fun :)

AlyxBee 08/16/2009 #

This is on my watchlist, will probably join a little closer.

aubreysmom 08/19/2009 #

Is it a #10 envelope (9.5"x4.125" typically) like a business envelope, or 6"x9" like a small manilla envelope?

Cassidymonster 08/19/2009 #

a #10 just an envelope that you would put a check in or a letter folded in thirds

kristimariehowell 08/30/2009 #

Are newbies able to signup? I am new, and have done no swaps, but I would love to do this. And this is filling a regular letter envelope, right?

Cassidymonster 08/31/2009 #

Yes newbies welcome with a well filled out profile and just a regular sized envelope

Candyn29 08/31/2009 #

Im glad I saw this in top 10 because forgot to join:

This is probably a stupid question, but I checked the First Class Mail Prices, and it says that letters that do not bend easily and contains items like pens require and surcharge. Does a mini pencil count in the surcharge?

gracewong1 09/ 1/2009 #

also, I think my letter is thicker than 1/4 inch (the requirement). Would it still be considered "filling until I can barely close it" if I take out some stuff?

missstamper 09/ 1/2009 #

Okay, so I had to cheat a little. No matter how hard I tried. I could not get a #10 envie to close. So.... I had no choice but to use a 5X7 card size envie. After all, I couldn't just start deleting items willy nilly. Who knows, I might have accidentally taken out just the dohickey my swap partner was hoping to get. Even after upsizing to the bigger envie, the postal man gave me his "raised eyebrow" as he put postage on it.

Happy Swapping.

I made an envelope out of 12x12 cardstock and still will have to tape all the edges.

Cassidymonster 09/ 7/2009 #

if you would like to keep postage on the light side then go by the postal requirements, i am sure your partner will understand. if you don't mind spending a little more just tape the envelope shut or go for a bigger envelope if you would like

hkz1985 09/16/2009 #

this was harder to do than i realized. I didn't have too much interesting stuff lying around.
