Description:

I love these two colours and have lots of fun creating quilts, pin cushions, needlecases, pillowslips. as well as just homing in on items that feature these two colours! If you feel inclined to put togther an exciting package of red and aqua related items, including something made by you, then join up! My first swap was a red and aqua one and I was sadly left wanting - nothing dropped on to my doormat, soooooo NO FLAKERS! It seems to me that in this world of sad stuff surely we can agree to a few simple rules - if you have no intention of completing then dont tick the box.You must have good ratings or contact me and have a good argument. The best rule of thumb is to send what you would like to receive.

I love these colors and idea, is it possible to set a limit or more definate swap item? So one person doesn't send a few pieces of paper, and another something more expensive? Thank you!

katiewoo 08/ 5/2009 #

Absolutely! Let's say any of the following ribbon, stationery, postcards, notecards, jewellry, bag, yarn, fabric, etc one item of which must be made by your own fair hands...or machine! When I did this swap before I included a polka dot tape measure, a couple of fat quarters, some yarn, a tea towel, some stickers, a notebook and a brooch. The contents of the swap must value at least $25/ that's about £12 if you're from my side of the pond. How does that sound homeandheart? Hope you join!

$25 plus shipping international, way to expensive for me, otherwise I'd love to participate, sounded like fun until that point

I'm with you, kimpe...too rich for my blood! Maybe next time, if the minimum cost is less..thanks, sounds like a lovely swap for those who can afford it!!

Thanks for your comments. I completely understand about cost but now and then I think it's good to push the boat out if you can.I hope there are more people out there who wont be put off! Living in the UK all my swaps have to be 'international' so I cheerfully send out to the US, even though the cost can be a little scary. I know this isn't something I will be doing that often and I look forward to the response of the receipient. So, yippee for international swaps, for the exciting items one receives (fingers crossed) and the new friends waiting out there to be made!

YA, I cant wait!

thebabykitties 08/28/2009 #

can the stuff be just red or just aqua as long as the package contains a good combination of the two?

thebabykitties 09/ 3/2009 #

someone send me a message if they see my question :)

katiewoo 09/ 4/2009 #

hello babykitties, I have been checking the swap but didn't scroll down far enough...sorry! In answer to your question, anything goes! A nice mix of the two colours is ideal and it can be anything (but hearts to those that fit the partner's profile, I guess). Don't hesitate , sign up! kate x
