Description:

Hey guys! This will be my first swap as a coordinator. I thought of this idea because I personally enjoy using sauce/spice/meal packs as a base to most of my cooking.

So in this swap you'll have 2 people to send to and it must be a sauce/meal pack that will act as a base to create a meal. Something like they sell @ the supermarkets such as a chili mix where you add ground beef or some cooking paste to create a stir-fry. You get the idea right? :) Let's try and be original though.

In my opinion, the best stuff is found @ your international stores. This swap does not have to have anything to do with where you live, just something you think the other person would appreciate because it's new to them. Let's have some fun! :)

Newbies welcome with one 5 as a minimum. I am a newbie so bear with me if it's not clear! :)

Can these be homemade recipes as well or just store bought?

chknlegs 07/27/2009 #

I think we should keep it store bought so we know what ingredients are in it. You can include an extra in your swap for extra brownie points. ;) Just be sure to mention what you are sending so some allergic people will know what's expected when they cook it. Thanks for the good question!

Count me in, but I have to keep it on my watchlist for now till some room opens up since the deadline is still a bit away. Can't wait for this swap though!

More and more people are joining. This will be great! Make sure you guys mention any likes or dislikes in this discussion so you won't be surprised with something that may be too spicy or something you may be allergic to. ;)

chknlegs 07/30/2009 #

Hmm, I'd like to join here, but does it matter that the instructions on the package are not in English? Nothing in my country is. Should I just translate them?

chknlegs 08/ 3/2009 #

Neria, of course you can join. :) If you translate them it would be much appreciated :) Hope to see you on this swap!

This is my first swap as a coordinator. Kinda sux that I can't assign people to people. Would've liked to make it as international as possible. Hope you guys get some good stuff in the mail! :)

Nothing super spicy (hot) for me either. I don't mind it, but my kids and husband start to complain. :-) Thanks!
