Description:

In 1939 President Franklin Roosevelt proclaimed August 19 to be National Aviation Day. The day coincides with the birthday of Orville Wright, who piloted the Wright Flyer.

To commemorate this holiday, all you have to do is send one store-bought postcard (sorry, no handmade) which has any kind of airplane or jet on the front. It can be of a small private jet (hopefully yours), a commercial plane or a military fighter jet, etc. It must have wings of some kind. That is one postcard in total to be sent out to one partner.

The postcard should be sent naked (without an envelope).

Rules are that you have to be in the group, have no unexplained or recent ones, and have your profile filled out.

Would a card of an aircraft carrier with planes on top be ok or does one plane have to be the main focus of the card?

MrsAnnaSue 07/30/2009 #

@Swan - thank you for your question. Yes planes/jets on an aircraft carrier would be great, the planes do not have to be the main focus of the postcard. Anna

Can they be vintage?

@Maggiesmother - yes they can be vintage if they are in good condition.
