Urban Dictionary defines swag as:

Promotional merchandise for a band, record label, or other >entity in the music business, usually distributed at concerts.

May include t-shirts, stickers, promo CDs, posters, etc. Often >free, but not necessarily; a t-shirt or record purchased at a >concert might still be considered swag, especially if it is a >design or release that is not readily available in the mass market.

Many independent record labels throw in a handful of free swag >when they ship out mail-order packages (stickers, sampler >CDs, etc).

The chief difference between swag and regular merchandise is >that its purpose is not to make a profit, but to promote the >band/label, and reward its supporters by giving them something >cool and unique. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Swag

So for this swap, you will attend any event (not necessarily a concert) before summer ends and pick up the free "swag" given out at the tables. If you have already attended an event this summer and still have your free stuff, that's fine too. Swag is not literature! It is stuff like pens, stickers, magnets, bookmarks, CDs, etc. Send this stuff to your partner, with a letter or note describing the event.

For example, if you go to a home show, you could send a potholder, some stickers, a magnet and a letter talking about what you learned or what you liked. Photos of the event are also acceptable, but do not substitute for the letter or swag. It is expected that you will send most if not all the swag from your chosen event. (Most of these events will let you take two if you ask nicely!)

All items are sender's choice, because they will be given free at the event. Please understand that most of these items will have a company's logo on them.

Worst case scenario is that all the items should fit in a flat rate box.

To participate you should have at least one rated postal swap, a 4.8 or better rating, and no "1" ratings in the last 3 months.

I'm attending a concert on September 12... would it be ok if I sent it one day late on the 13th? I will do it very promptly.....

I should mention since I already joined, that I attend lots of events since I live in San Diego, stuff from the concert would just be alot more fun for my partner than some of the other events ;)
