Mega 50 State Map Postcards Swap 2009

I have joined the swap but i still have to pay for the postcards I ordered. I should them payed for by september

September 30th works for me.

I'm still on board. I will join closer to August 8th - thats my one year anniversary hahaha

I have all my postcards. Now I just need to get the stamps!!!! More than half are addressed too!!!! I will be ready for Sept. 30

Have Missouri pc's. Have about 1/2 of hem addressed. Will get stamps on pay day. YES! YEAH! YIPEE!! Ready to go!

Great news! I am humbly representing the great state of Delaware and I have all my postcards.

I am almost ready. Still looking for 20 of the same ones I already have purchased but I have a back-up if I can't find them. They are a bit different but still keep with the theme of being a State Map. I am going to travel next week so I will look there as well. As far as the ones I have, they are stamped and ready to get an address on them.

Im addressing my cards right now - all that's given addresses are ready to go and rest are at least noted and labeled!

I have someone sending me the Vermont postcard and was mailing them today, so should have them in a few days.

I have one concern about doing this. Didn't even think of this until just now!!! I have been in alot and I do mean ALOT of postcard swaps. I have had to resend several that never got to their destination. I am kind of worried about what to do if even just one of the cards gets lost and I can't get anymore Vermont map cards. I only have 50 coming, so will only have one extra to work with. I sure don't want to get a 1 for not being able to replace a lost card!!!

Any suggestions???

I was wondering what to write on the blank spot of my cards too besides the address... Usually I write a quote from someone from my state ie. sitting bull, louis l'amour...does anyone have suggestions or anything they want on their cards

I'm here!!! I've got 30 of my cards and ordered the other 20 a couple days ago. Hopefully they'll come by next week and I'll be ready to get started:)))

I think I will write some facts about my state. There are some that are on the cards but maybe I can write a few others.

I have them stamped addressed as many addy's that i have and just waiting on the date to send.

that is a good question what do we do if they do not reach their destination and we only had the 50 to send out the first time?

With 2,450 postcards being mailed I suppose there is a chance a few may get lost in transit. Let's hope not!!! A month after the swap send date it will be apparent that everybody sent out their cards, and if one gets lost in mail, I don't think that sender would deserve to get a 1 or 3 rating.

I suppose if a particular card does get lost, and sender is unable to resend, then maybe we will have to look to the group to volunteer cards up. Maybe some members might have duplicates and willing to send it to a fellow group member so they have a complete set?

But I guess we will cross that bridge when we get there! :-)

I like cards in envie as well but since we're mailing out 49, I am sorry but I will be mailing them all naked due to postage. I also expect naked cards of course =)

I like mine NAKED as a JAYBIRD and written alllllll over!! The more ink the better!! I put stickers in all the free spots left after writing on the pc's I send out. Please let me know if this is not preferred for you!

If you notice a different address for me please don't worry about changing the postcard you've already addressed. I am staying with my Aunt (KatyC) in Colorado over the summer. I have started sending out postcards. I still don't have all of my postcards but i am sending what I have.

I finished addressing and stamping all of my NJ cards :) Once I got on a roll, I just kept going. I'm sending them all to a trusted friend in NJ to send out so they have a NJ postmark. I'll click sent once she's confirmed she sent them out.

I've already received four today, and a very sweet person even sent me two different cards of the same state! Woohoo! Thank you everybody for making this such an awesome swap!

My NV postcards were sent to me by MrsAnnaSue (THANK YOU!!!!) as I could not find any while I was visiting in Las Vegas. I stamped them the day I received them to save time as I didn't expect any special requests.

I have 10 mailed, 15 ready to mail. It will be after the first of Sept before I can do the rest. The store where I get my cards raised the price to $.75 each or 5 for $3.00 which is $.60 each So that means I have to spread them out a little farther.

I have 20 so far. So much fun to see if any come in each day when I pick up the mail.

Still waiting for the last 9 cards. I went to the place I got the other but they did not have anymore. I think they stopped selling them. I hope they other cards come soon.

wow. these are coming quick. there is just 15 more i need to have all of my collection.

fyi. i ordered all mine online and paid 24.50 for 50 cards plus postage. got them in 2 days.

Well I managed to get all my cards out, I haven't written that much by hand in a very long time! :-)

There is still quite a bit of time, about 5 weeks or so. If anyone thinks they are going to miss the deadline be sure to let me know so I can help out.

I have ordered from there twice, my first order arrived super quick. The second order took at least a couple weeks, she said she was waiting for her supplier to send her the cards. Hopefully they will show up sooner than later! GT

@GTstamper It has been about a month. Like I said i did email her but got nothing.

@ladyrose - I'll try calling Diane next week to see what's going on and if I can get in contact with her. She may be waiting on one of her suppliers to get the cards in.

Woohoo! I have received a postcard from each member who has marked "sent". None have been lost in the mail yet!

On that topic. Everyone should have received Colorado and Mississippi mapcards by now. If you have not please e-mail me and I will send a new one.

(My nephew is signed up for Mississippi but I am sending the cards out for him.)

Oh no. I am going to be about 2 days late getting the second half of my cards out. We had some problems the last couple of weeks and I ended up not getting the last ones until today (9-30-09) I don't have time tonight to go thru my list to see who I haven't sent to but if you have not received a Kansas card be patient it will be in the mail by Saturday or Monday at the latest.
