Crochet Thread Bookmark Swap

I thought it would be time to start a thread crochet swap. Please bear with me, as I am new to the running of a swap. If you need any help, I will help in any and all ways I can.

I am changing the date to August, and I'm giving you 2 weeks to make the bookmark. Remember, contact me if you need help with anything.

I decided to go with a bookmark first as there are many free patterns out there and I think it's a great way to introduce some of the new people to thread, as well as a brush up for our threadies.

This will be a swap for {1} crocheted bookmark in thread for {1} partner. Feel free to send more if you'd like. You can use any size thread you would like, 3, 5. 8, 10 etc. The lower the number in thread the thicker it is. So remember that when you make your bookmark.

This is a suggestion to all of you new people who want to try thread but are unsure if you will like it or not. You can purchase one skein of embroidery thread. This is like a size 3 thread and the cost is no more than $1. This way here your not stuck with a ball of thread you may never use. Use a C. D, or E hook. Now you don't have to worry about gage, because a bookmark is used in all kinds of books. from the very large to the very small.

You choose the colors as you are the creator, but feel free to check out your partners profile to see what favorite colors they like.

This will be an international Swap so many others can participate and it shouldn't cost much to ship, because you can mail in a legal sized envelope..

If all goes well with this, I will set up other thread Swaps, for christmas balls, doilies, coaster, etc...

One quick note: I won't put a set on your ratings, I would like to allow Newbies a chance, but I will be reading profiles. First; have them fully filled out please.
